You can't have people like Scholes and Giggs always playing or the young lads being called up constantly. Need a bit of class in the middle too, and I just don't think Carrick is the man for the job.

They haven't got long left:bawling:, legends and they will be really missed when they finally quit.

I'm hoping Anderson can make the most of another chance or a few of the players step up to the plate.. Hargreaves should just quit altogether.

setanta 01-08-2010 05:36 PM

Feel for Hargreaves big time. Think Anderson is injured right now though, no?

Yeah, need another midfielder.

Big Brother Fan 01-08-2010 06:35 PM

Darron Gibson isn't really a young lad, I think he can be quality for us next season.

setanta 01-08-2010 06:40 PM

Well, I'll give him one thing, he's persistent. Opted out of a loan spell last year cuz he wanted to fight for his place, right? Something like that anyway, which shows that he's a battler.

Big Brother Fan 01-08-2010 06:45 PM

Scored a sublime free-kick against the MLS all stars, last week.

Last season he scored against Spurs twice, West Ham, Bayern Munich and Bolton off the top of my head anyway.

setanta 01-08-2010 06:47 PM

Yep, I watched it live. Was a beautifully taken free kick.

I've noticed Gibbo has improved his game of late:D, hope he carries this confidence into the league etc.

I think Berbatov will up his game once he sees Rooney and Hernandez teaming up because he wants to be the main back up;).

bbfan1991 07-08-2010 01:42 PM

Couple of injuries in the United camp, nothing major at the moment.

Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen will get 45 minutes each against Chelsea tomorrow.. Evra will be rested and a few others plus Ferdinand won't be available so Vidic will team up with Chris Smalling.

bbfan1991 08-08-2010 04:22 PM

I missed the match:bawling:, chuffed at the score and can't wait to watch the highlights later.

Man United 3 Newcastle 0:devil::D.

So much more confident about this season and have every confidence the team will improve as always.

bbfan1991 20-08-2010 04:15 PM

United definetly doing no more transfer activity.. hope for a win on Sunday and Paul Scholes is such a LEGEND!, his form gets more class every match although he'll never curb his eye for a tackle and getting booked.

People also need to give Wayne Rooney time to get back to his best, sure it will happen soon.. the more pressure you are under the harder it gets.

bbfan1991 30-08-2010 03:31 PM

Happy with the West Ham performance:D. Nice to see Rooney back scoring a goal even if it was a penalty.. Berbatov has improved and Nani is more consistent, midfield is looking better than last season also.

bbfan1991 30-08-2010 04:09 PM

Skysports.com understands Wigan have agreed a deal to sign Man Utd youngster Tom Cleverley on loan.

Glad Tom can get some more experience, he is a promising player:).

Not surprised that Wesley Sneijder thinks that Jose Mourinho will be the next Utd boss when Fergie leaves;).

bbfan1991 01-09-2010 01:11 PM

Rio Ferdinand is to play for United reserves against Oldham reserves later:thumbs:.

bbfan1991 17-02-2011 08:32 PM

Bump:), hopefully United hang in on there and win that record 19th Premier League title!!!

Definetly going to be some more players coming in the summer, midfield definetly needs sorting out plus a new goalkeeper and other ares where the legend Sir Alex thinks it can benefit the team:).

Crawley on Saturday:D, hoping for the best!

bbfan1991 17-02-2011 11:16 PM

Rumour on the net (if it's true and I hope it is) that Patrice Evra has signed a new four year deal to end any speculation he is leaving:).

He is so underrated and is a quality player, very defensive and attack minded plus works hard for the team..

Evergreen Ryan Giggs has extended his illustrious career by another 12 months after signing a new contract with Manchester United.

The former Wales international previously indicated his wish to continue his career into a remarkable 21st season.

The news that United fans wanted to hear arrived on Friday when it was confirmed that Giggs had put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal.

Giggs has played in every Premier League season having burst onto the scene against Everton at Old Trafford in March 1991.

The 37-year-old has been a regular in United's side ever since, amassing an incredible 11 Premier League titles with the English giants.

Lucky
"All I've ever wanted to do is play for United and I've been lucky enough to do that for 20 years," he told the club's official website.

"It is great to know I'm still contributing to the team's success and I feel I've got a lot to offer on and off the pitch.

"This is an exciting time to be involved with so many good young players coming through."

Special
United's long-serving manager Sir Alex Ferguson was full of praise for the veteran, claiming the midfielder is a 'special person' to have his longevity.

"You run out of words to describe Ryan Giggs," explained Ferguson. "He is a marvellous player and a wonderful man.

"To have the desire and the ability to play at the top level in such a physically demanding position at his age requires a special person.

"He is still turning in man of the match performances and his experience is so vital for the younger players in the squad."

:worship: RYAN GIGGS, what a humble and class act!, marvellous player and he is very professional, humble and works very hard for his team and helps younger players to develop.

Shame there is no loyalty around like Giggsy has shown for the last 20+ years and it will be sad when he does hang up those boots eventually but a spectacular end to an illustrious career:cool:.

Rio Ferdinand is the latest big-name Manchester United player to heap praise on retired team-mate Gary Neville.

The veteran right-back quit the game earlier this month and has already started working with United's academy players in an effort to complete his coaching badges.

Neville acquired the reputation of being a militant presence in the dressing room and once advocated strike action over Ferdinand's omission from the England squad .
This was after it was revealed the centre-half had failed to turn up to a drugs testing session which ultimately saw him landed with an eight-month ban.

However, Ferdinand has seen a different side to Neville and says he will be missed around Old Trafford.

'Gary was tremendous,' said Ferdinand. 'He had great determination and drive and could deliver fantastic crosses.

'I remember the first time I joined up with an England squad, Gary would be doing his own stretches whilst the manager was talking to the players before training.

'People used to take the Mickey out of him for that. But it just shows you the length he would go to in order to maximise his potential.

'That sort of behaviour earned him a reputation as somebody who was very serious. But he was a really funny bloke and we will miss him in the dressing room

Ferdinand seems unlikely to be in United's side to face non-league Crawley in the FA Cup fifth round at Old Trafford tomorrow.

He has not featured since injuring his groin in the warm-up ahead of United's defeat at Wolves a fortnight ago.
Although with a Champions League trip to Marseille looming next Wednesday, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson would hope the 32-year-old is not sidelined any longer.

Changes are anticipated, with goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard hopeful of making his Old Trafford bow.

Sign me up , also have heard from a good source that we will be getting De Rossi in the summer which would be brill becuz our midfield is amazingly poor

bbfan1991 21-02-2011 05:24 PM

Patrice Evra signs new contract till 2014:worship:.

Grimnir 23-02-2011 07:36 PM

United playin bad so far against Marseille.

Carrick having bad game and don't like when Rooney plays wide left

Bring on Obertan for Carrick and switch to 4 4 2

Rooney best position is central off the striker, helpin out midfield when lose possession

Give Obertan chance to perform better against his native countrymen

Rafael > O'Shea too

bbfan1991 24-02-2011 11:27 AM

Boring match last night:(, Marseille were dangerous second half but luckily they didn't score, all to play second leg at OT and hope we make it through..

The midfield needs a desperate overhaul in the summer, can see a few departures in the squad and a few big name additions then bringing in new youngsters or promoting them from the youth team:).
