Seriously, bravo. Have both the bronze, silver and gold medals.

Come on - how could I let that one go? :joker: Not one of your most intelligent comments! :joker:

So are you going to enlighten us or leave us all in suspense with needlessly abstract posts that actually make no relevant point to what you supposedly couldn't let go?

Do you even know what you are doing right now?

No, I don't. It would really be rather amazing if you explained it.

It was totally self-explanatory!

Really? I thought it was rather vague myself. It would have saved so much time if you had just explained it the first time around. If only you could.

Ha, ha! :joker: Maybe I have given you too much credit after all!:xyxwave:

Stu 12-05-2010 12:58 PM

Still won't explain it?

Okay then. I will just ignore you until you actually have a constructive point to make. It could take awhile.

I was a chav back in Year 8-9, so around 13-14 years old.... I do slip into the lingo with people for a joke, and even seriously sometimes but i more take the mick now of the things said by chavs.

I dont get indimidated at all by chavs, like if a bunch of 13 year olds are being all "gangster" and making load sof noise and on a quiet zone on a train, me and my friends would tell them to go to the non quiet zone...

Nope, I was probably the nicest out of my group. It was kind of that I fell into the wrong crowd. We would go play manhunt in Debenhams and even knock teh Mannequinn's over, we would be quiete loud on trains and buses, but i remember my friend and i gave up our seats on a train for two old women around 70 years old... so we weren't harsh. We would drink in the park every friday night.

Ive ha dno bad encouterrs with chavs, the proper chavs of my year got on with me a lot, not because i was a "sort of chav" because i wanst in Year 10 and 11... the chavs got on with the goths in the school too... so my school was a pretty nice place to be. Basically, all the chavs I know, and what i was were "Loveable Chavs".... weird i know. but we werent agressive (well i wasnt, one of my friends was) or lived in council estates.

I jjust went through drastic changes eg. In Year 7 I was a complete geek, Year 8 and 9 i made loads of friends and became a chav and Year 10 and 11, everyone got more respected and all of our year really were close.

Guess they were the ones that sort of took the trend on then. You might have been a bit mischevous, but not anti-social, like Chavs tend to be. And they're often violent because of their background and it being "All they know". Did you lot ever batter anyone randomly for no reason at all other than fun?

Actually a friend did beat someone up, but the other guy was swearing at him and calling his mum a slag.
At some points, we were very anti social, its completely opposite for me now, I like to think im really social now, maybe thats just making up for those two years when i went through the chav phase.

But it annoys me how newspapers are always pronting bad stuff about teens (we were talking about this in media), makes us look really bad. And if im wearing a hoodie (and doing my walk, yes I have a slight walk, not a lot though), elderly people assume i am going to mug them and rush past if i hold a door open for them.... it annoys me a lot.

FYI, chavs in Cork are reffered to as 'sucks'. Lovely little term.

sucks? I haven't heard that one, is that a new term? We used to call them whackers, is that word still used?

Chavs round my area would randomly attack people, smash phone boxes, do coke off the park bench. Some were ok with you as you grew up with them and that, but most proper dickheads. The whole portraying teens bad thing was a few years ago really, it's seemed to be when knife crime was in the media alot.

Seriously? Sucks has been around for years now. Then again, I have never once heard the term whackers.

Guess it's all generational.

I can't believe you've never heard whackers haha, that's what we used to call chavs when I was in school (all those years ago)
