And not all the fans think we've got it in the bag either, I for one will actually be amazed if we make the final let alone win, doesn't mean I'm not going to be extremely vocal in my support though! There's always people that take it to the extreme but most people are actually more realistic I think and it's more wishful thinking and getting behind the team!

Okay fair enough to you then, but I know plenty of people who wouldn't support us and who really do think it's theirs to lose.

Lol! USA and Slovenia will give you a game. Not sure about Algeria. Yeah, they should be the whipping boys. But yeah, you got one of the easier groups, and yes, I will pi$$ myself if you balls it up.

He is a great manager and as long as you have the passion it doesn't matter what country you are from.. he has took us to the world cup and made us play some quality football in the Qualifying group so he get's respect from me.

Come on you know the media have always been like it, they do it with everything English, especially the red tops, it's the way they operate! I'm not saying that a great deal of England fans (like Andy ) don't think that way, just that not everyone does, me included. I'm extremely patriotic but not to the point of delusion lol.

Yeah, they have been, but I don't know many other countries who operate that way with their newspapers. Your press is renowned for it and that doesn't happen without some kind of public support, you know?

Ledley will get injured and so will Johnson and then you'll have Upson and Carragher - accidents waiting to happen.

It does matter if he has passion for football the Itailan Team SHOULD be his manegement NOT the England Team.

I really think 3 or 4 players carry your team tbh. One's out injured, one's always gets injured, one's old and one's out of form.

Good luck lol

I disagree completely if he is talented enough to do the Job and has the Passion for it.. then it shouldn't matter what country you are from. All the players respect him and he goes about his Job in a great manner.

America maybe? I think a lot of it is that there is so much expectation from us when it comes to football, whether that's media created or from the public I'm not sure? But we always seem to expect so much and build the team up so much and then slaughter them when it all goes to ****. I don't know where that mentality started but it happens every time, I hate it.

Nooo, America doesn't even come close to what the English press get away with.

Really? I would have imagined that would be important in something like the World Cup, where everyone is dying to brag about how 'we' are going to win it.

This is why I can't stand the sport. It's a medium of control, nothing more. Keep the public happy. I'm not denying the huge amount of skill, dedication and talent involved but the idea that an Italian can coach the English to the World Cup and possibly win it just tears down the entire ludicrous sport in my eyes. Same with 'club loyalty'. The managers don't have it. The players don't have it. Why do the fans? Because they need something to believe in and follow and they chose a colour shirt with a logo on it rather than an interest that would better their life in a more fulfilling way.

I'm still not sure why I'm in the minority with that view.
