He wears what he feels comfortable in - has bugger all to do with advertising his scars! I can't believe anyone would actually think that! It is very warm at the moment, in case you hadn't noticed, last thing he is likely to want to do - is cover up! And neither should he!

Good god, grow up.

I don't see any of the other blokes wearing vests.

In all fairness, he probably just doesn't give a sh*t what people think of him which is great. He is a no-nonsense antidote to all of the other mollycoddled brats in the house.

Maybe the OP and those who support his opinion would prefer not to be able to see scars, lack of limbs or any physical deformity out in public either.

Do they advocate all disabled people to stay at home or in homes where the healthy able bodied general public doesnt have to view them?

God forbid that someone just be themselves and get on with their lives regardless of their injuries or deformities.

Would the OP wear a burka if someone objected to the colour or the texture of their skin?

same here!

Cannot believe how shallow and narrow minded people can be, Steven has the right to wear or not wear what he likes, if you don't like it then don't watch.

Miss Ivy Balls 25-06-2010 02:16 AM

You might as well have said, i can't stand Steve's metal legs.

He can't help the way his arms look. You can tell he damaged them in the war, there is really bad scaring as if his arm(s) has had to be attached back into place.

eviled2010 25-06-2010 02:19 AM

Ben should hide his hairdo...now that IS disturbing! :elephant:

I love this topic, it made me chuckle on the inside, because we're all supposed to be politically correct and cool and say 'oh it's all about personality' but that's rubbish, looks are really important. Like if it was Becks , because she is not black or disabled we can all say stuff like 'omg what a lardy munter' etc. I aint bothered too much about how steve looks, but i bet it smells a bit cheesy when he gets his false legs off, and that snoring ffs.

Frank E 25-06-2010 07:45 AM

People with visual impairments are getting too much exposure.
Next they'll be wanting to run the country.

pinkmichk 25-06-2010 12:01 PM

the only thing that makes me want to vom is the small minded out dated views on things like this it goes back to the whole issue about the cbeebies presenter
my dad is now registered disabled and has a lot and i mean a lot of scars like steve has on his arm on his legs but he doesnt cover them up just so a small group of people with stupid views dont get upset by the sight of them. a lot of people in here disgust me to be fair my 5 year old isnt bothered by big scars some people need to grow up

Have you known many amputees? Cos I have known a few and not once have I experienced a 'cheesy' smell from theirs stumps when they have been changing their limbs.

As for the scar tissue on his arm - it's just bloody scar tissue. It's not an open, infected wound! What is with people and 'feeling sick' at someone else's disability. How can looking at prosthetic limbs make one queasy? Are you all afraid of your own death or potential to be disfigured? Is that the issue?

Can't believe the OP posted this and i can't believe there's other people who seem to agree.

Silly kids who have yet to experience the real world, I'm afraid!

rapunza1977 25-06-2010 12:52 PM

Right the fact that people even responded to this makes the OP happy
I think the thread and all threads like these should be ignored - it's what they want - shock factor

Ill educated idiots!

I thought this thread would be unanimously condemned as a troll thread - but some of the teenys seem to want to watch Hollyoaks and the Rachaels of this world flounce about rather than confront reality (BB's failing is that C4 didn't turn it into a 24/7 Hollyoaks I guess)

here here !! I cannot believe people actually replied to it!

GiRTh 25-06-2010 12:56 PM

I agree Clay, I'm stunned this thread has run for five pages. Its appalling.

Unfortunately, you can't just ignore a troll thread when it gets responses "oh yeah I agree, I saw it while eating my tea and almost sicked"

You just can't allow sprogs to carry-on this way

JEJ 25-06-2010 12:58 PM

Steve seems to be incredibly well adjusted regarding his injuries, such a shame the same can't be said for some of the repugnant individuals on here.

Zippy 25-06-2010 01:03 PM

Ive not even noticed his arms. Odd what some fixate on. Here we have a man with no legs, one eye and missing fingers...yet its his tattooed arms that are grabbing your attention? A bit weird.

Anyways, I think he's earned the right to do what he damn well likes. His sob story is a million times more valid than that self pitying wimp from down under. Fact.

Miss Ivy Balls 25-06-2010 02:41 PM

I have a scar on my nose from when my dog attacked me. I feel so self conscious of it because of people like the OP.
