BUT it is BB lol we won't solve political issues here as some other people are bringing into this thread. Trust the irish and their stupid conflict/war to bring the mood down lol.

I was with you up until the final sentence. Let yourself down big time with that one.

Keeva is proud Irish woman. She shouldn't be wearing England's shirt and good on her to refuse it.

JJ is a dual Aussie/Brit and his parents are English so he probably supports England.

Forgive me, i know it is a very complicated issue but isn't the basis founded on a disagreement between two different religious groups?

If so...stupid.

(it was mainly a joke ofc lol)

And yet you laugh again. It's fairly obvious you don't know what you're talking about, and I don't remember any Irish person really bringing politics into it. Let's not forget that this thread was a ridiculous one from the off.

MissKittyFantastico 28-06-2010 03:33 PM

Why should she wear an England shirt, she's not English?

And as for singing the national anthem the same reason applies, and tbf even Rooney and Milner didn't sing it yesterday and they were playing for their national side ffs.

I object to the use of the word Hun. Puls the implication that waving a tricola around to bait people is some sort of jolly jape

You sneaked out of the group Pres - you were correct. Lucky the Germans took pity on you @ 4 and decided to stop.

You say it is a ridiculous thread then moan when someone tries to break the ice with a jokey jibe. And the OP was just asking why she was in green and everyone was in red obviously not knowing Dave had a wales shirt on, it was a fair question if a naive one.

Very correct pres - in fact it should have been 7 against Slovenia - just as Germany should have been 9 if they'd bothered to try instead of playing their 3 simultaneous subs for a laugh

Come to the pub 100m from my house and shout "Celtic" Lee then see if we can get you to Dumfi General Hospital without you dying in the ambulance

I suppose it really boils down to my sense of humour differing from yours really, that's all. Nevermind.

Stacey. 28-06-2010 03:56 PM

Didn't know she didn't sing the anthem.. knew she was wearing green because she's Irish.. still thought she'd have worn red though

Oh I know there are pubs like that outside of Glasgow but it's still mainly a Rangers/Celtic thing.. The average Joe Bloggs who has no interest in Celtic or Rangers doesn't really give a toss about the Irish/British/Catholic/Protestant thing.. It all boils down to what I always say and that is religion is the root of all evil.. from football hooliganism to all out world wars! The world would be a better place if religion was banned :)

I wouldn't!

Um, She wasn't.

She just stood there like a true Irishman (In this case girl) and ignored the anthem.

And to answer the OP she had it because shes Irish, nothing wrong with that but I don't know why JJ didn't have an Ozzy kit on then.

How would she even know the words? We don't learn your national anthem over here, we don't learn the American one either. and isn't it the British national anthem, Dave is British so it is his national anthem.
