Cher Lloyd has denied that she is similar to her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole.

Comparisons have been drawn between the singers since Cole described Lloyd as "right up my street" after her first audition on the reality talent show.

Dismissing any similarities, Lloyd told Metro: "I don't have to try to be different to her. I am my own person. I will dress how I want to dress and not how other people want to see me.

"I don't think Cheryl would be wearing a little chavvy Fred Perry T-shirt. If you like me, you like me, if you don't, then see you later."

No-one knows if it's the truth or not because the papers can print rubbish, most of the contestants have done something not good in their lives probably. I'm taking no notice of the papers and will like her regardless,same as what I did with Danyl last year...

Of course we don't know if it's the truth,but that didn't stop Danyl being crucified for it last year,true or not headlines like that can make or break a person,and to make it front page!! Is this the most important news in the world?I suppose time will tell if it affects her popularity.

Yeah, I've got two words for you: Afrika Bambaataa. Rap and Hip Hop have been around for a long time. And if you don't know that, maybe you don't know as much about music as you think you do.

As for Cher... if she'd behaved in a REAL audition the way she behaved at Cheryl's house, tonsilitis or no tonsilitis, she's have been out on her ar5e and another more talented person who doesn't crack under pressure would have been chosen. Unfortunately, Cheryl - a beautiful girl but an average singer - is obviously intimidated by women who can actually sing, so chose the freaks instead.
