100% correct, this comment, she had the whole thing planned for last night and never once tried to or got his side beforehand backstage at any time. That shows the vindictiveness of the woman and also her total lack of professionalism.
I don't like Cheryl at all and have seen this side of her many times, I am just glad some others at last saw how rotten she really can be to people at times and how she doesn't care as to how she does it either.

The difference is though Wagner had given an interview to the paper, so it wasn't just a 'source said' type article. Of course the interview could've been purposely taken out of context - but it's a lot more believable and questionable when someone has given an interview themselves to a paper.

For the record, I believe Wagner's side of the story, but Cheryl had every right to bring it up seeing as before he explained himself, she was under the impression that it was true - in which case Wagner had slagged her off to the nations press. That's even bigger than the X Factor, so you could pretty much say he was trying to belittle her in front of millions of people too.

when you've spent a week having your name and life dragged through the mud on the basis of a nasty comment made by Wagner, I bet you wouldn't be so judgemental about Cheryl standing up for herself!!

Even Ms Cole herself knows and has repeatedly said the papers get most of their stories wrong, she knows that for a fact especially since her own marriage troubles.
All she had to do was go and talk to Wagner offset and ask him for his side.
For goodness sake, even on the calls on XTra Factor Louis and Kian from Westlife had to correct the way a paper had said Louis was the former manager of Westlife rather than still their manager.

I personally am never likely to be popular enough to have the press want to talk to me or say anything about me but one things for sure, I would ask for clarification from whoever said anything about me 'privately' before I challenged them on it in front of millions of people on a talent show.

Also isn't Ms Cole pleading with the public 'NOT' to believe what they read in the press as to what Cher and Katie have done, have said or are saying.

Or is it one law for Ms Cole and a lower law for everyone else.

She was rotten, out of order and should be made to publicly apologise.

I hope she keeps reading more and more press so she can read what many real people think of her cause when she's angry the real person she is comes out and eventually people will stop blowing smoke up her non-existant ass and she can disapear so we can have someone that's really worth looking up to.

Wagner said he didnt know the man was a journalist though. Either way it was impossible for Cheryl to know the full details of what he had said or why he had said it and that's why I dont really think it was appropiate to do what she did.

Even if she did know all the details and Wagner had very clearly been slagging her off I still think she shouldnt air personal squabbles on live television when she's meant to be judging a performance.

Cheryl gets by on her looks, thats it really.. she could have confronted Wagner backstage but the bint is unprofessional and his response left her looking stupid and will have secured Wagner more votes, so the smugness will be wiped off her and her puppet Cowell's face tonight;).

I personally have never been that stunned by her looks! The reason why I think she is held high for her looks in the UK is because to be honest (to me) she doesn't look very British. She looks like a Greek girl. If she goes to Greece or Italy she will get ****ted on!

I have to admit she's pretty even though I can't stand her but she's not in the class of celeb girls I would consider attractive:p.

I never judge people on looks, its whats inside and how they treat others that matter to me and Ms. Cole is someone I would steer clear of totally.

I don't get the Cheryl hate on here. I prefer Dannii myself, but Cheryl is ok, and she is entitled to state her opinion, as and when she chooses. It's called freedom of speech.

I genuinely believe it's just because, well...people have nothing else to do. It's really quite boring to be honest. She could donate 500K to charity and they'd still find a way to find a fault, probably something along the lines of 'she only donated it to a charity SHE supports, not one that lots of people support'. It's really just a case of all of them clutching at straws and desperately trying to find things to pick at her for. Pathetic stuff, really. And I'm not even a big Cheryl fan - just indifferent.

If you actually read peoples reasons for disliking her you will find it's not DESPERATLY trying to find things to pick at (what is the point) but it's more a response to what she puts out there. People that don't have negatives to think about her probably buy into the romanticized version of Cheryl published daily in magazines. And if someone is thrust onto you everyday people are going to have an opinion.

They're all at it. Dannii makes some sort of comment that conveys how flabbergasted she is; Cheryl is openly rude to him and then Simon in the intro video tried a bit of reverse psychology it seemed to me; saying "it would be the end of the world if Wagner won" which to me suggests he wants people to vote for him more, and then spark an even bigger anti-Wagner movement, or trick people into not voting for him in some way. I really do think it's unfair on the guy, he's doing his best and he's being given such a bad time of it, worse than Katie's getting because at least she has the judges on her side. He deserves to stay because it's a big middle finger to everyone that's against him - so what if he can't sing? I genuinely find him entertaining and think he's a nice guy.

Also very true, Ms Cole has many hidden agendas,all likely not very pleasant ones towards others.

Wagner is indeed a nice guy and just you watch the sourness from Dannii if he outlasts Paije;). People who are voting for Wagner are playing into Simon's hands though because he'll still benefit from the votes and all this to see his smile wiped off will backfire IMO even though I do like him:)...

Not a big cheryl fan? Whenever anyone criticizes ANYTHING about her, be it justified or not you are straight there.

I hardly think this is just a thread picking for the sake of it either, as quite a few cheryl fans have posted and admitted she was indeed in the wrong to do it at that time. I dont blame her for needing clarification on it, I would be the same if I thought someone had been slagging me off, but I would be bright enough to realize papers take most things out of context and not to bring it up infront of however many million people when I knew there was a chance of it being bollocks...
