Yeah it was a Keisha driven project... they were seriously misfiring after Mutya left though, it was the same situation for Amelle as it is for Jade, covering songs that had nothing to do with her.

Kind of surprised that they managed to get three top ten singles out of an album that only charted at #14.

I really don't think they should use the name Sugababes anymore, it's not even about the principle of three new members carrying on the name, it's just that they have nothing in common with the original premise of the group or its music. MEH.

But About You Now is their best selling single and came during the third line up, so 4.0 might be a surprise yet

Very true. They've been keeping a very low profile for the last few months, maybe more, so it'll be interesting to hear what they come out with eventually.

I think all pop groups have their time. Especially female pop groups. Theyve had a great innings so maybe their time is just up regardless of their line up?

theyve lasted longer than pretty much all girl groups.

Keisha benefitted ridiculously from the way it played out; if Heidi and Amelle had quit and then formed a new band with Jade they'd have been widely supported; the 'Keisha is a bully' slur would be accepted as fact and she'd have had no basis for a solo career - but because they did it behind her back, she's got a solo career attempt lined up and she'll give it a fair crack. I suspect she'll flop like Mutya and Siobhan did but if that happens then the chances of the three of them reforming under some guise become all the more likely and that's something that appeals to me :D
