If the girls can get a health & beauty forum, then I think its only right that one that would predominantly be male should be created.

Largely, yes

Anyone can play and enjoy sports, I know countless women who are absolute die hard football fans.

Not many men are going to wear and/or discuss eyeliner and lipstick.

I know lots of, in fact all males I know have a daily washing routine :joker:

Wear deodorant's, after shaves, purchase toiletries......

There is room for everyone, not many men I know want to discuss at length what deodorant they wear. Its a subject, I for one have no interest in whatsoever. If men want to discuss it, they now have a place on here. In the same vein, if someone male or female wants to get their geek on.. there is no place for them here. Why?

What's the point of an 18+ forum? Would be too difficult to create a section that can only be seen by over 18s anyway

I'm already in it. But it does not show in the new posts section, which is what I use to view the forum, and it is right at the bottom of the index.

Well, personally I don't think its appropriate for an adult to be unknowingly conversing with a young teenager. Thats my only reasoning.

I'm not against a Technology forum - it might be quite fun and lead to some good threads. They only thing I worry about with creating loads of different forums is that everything gets spread about too much on the forum and people can't find things.

Also there is the possibility that it wouldn't be used enough to justify having a separate forum, and this would actually reduce the amount of discussion about the subject as threads got moved from, say, General Chat to some unvisited corner of the forum.

This, also it would be too difficult for for people to prove they were actually 18 and as others have said it's splitting the forum into groups and that never ends well.

Everyone that joins up to the forum knows there are members as young as 13, if they only wanted to talk to adults theres plenty of other places online.
