Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who has reportedly agreed a fee of €13 million for Ajax's Belgian centre-half Thomas Vermaelen, has also been linked with a move for Manchester City's utility defender Micah Richards.
Wenger will let Kolo Toure move in the opposite direction to Eastlands, according to reports in The Daily Mail, which also claims that Richards has been touted around Premier League clubs for £6m, as City boss Mark Hughes has lost patience with the player's apparently poor attitude. That is a significant reduction in the £20m he was rated at only last season, and it may be that Wenger would rather take £10m from the Citizens for Toure. The Ivorian has 12 months left on his Gunners contract and has his heart set on a move to City, The Mail reports, after almost joining them in the January transfer window. |

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has dropped this bombshell: "It's Kaka tonight - now we go for Cristiano Ronaldo!"
Despite what Rafa Benitez may say, the agent of Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi insists Liverpool are interested in his client. Reports have just emerged that Carlos Tevez has agreed to stay in Manchester... but for City and not United. Still at Manchester City... the Citizens look unlikely to capture 'The Beast' Julio Baptista after the player's agent confirmed that he will stay at Roma. |

But na, I think Barca has a stronghold on La liga next year even if real brings all those reinforcements. And I am sure we'll make at least one signing before next season, so, watch out!:spin2: |

Michael Mancienne's early strike put England Under-21s on the road to a thumping friendly win over Azerbaijan.
Mancienne scored in the opening minute, Azerbaijan keeper Elcin Sadiqov fumbled into his own net and Craig Gardner volleyed a third in from 12 yards. Elvin Mammadov's own goal followed before Kieran Gibbs twice side-footed home and Jack Rodwell's late strike sealed the rout. England ended the game with keeper Joe Lewis playing as an emergency striker. Coach Stuart Pearce rested some key players as they continued their preparations ahead of the European Championships in Sweden next week. He named two keepers among his six replacements, with Lewis getting brought on for Lee Cattermole to prevent any injuries. Pearce insisted he was not disrespecting his opponents by playing keeper Lewis up front and was "forced" into the decision. "We had to do that because Cat's (Lee Cattermole) pulled a slight injury and with the tournament a week away we were at a loss as what to do," Pearce said. "We used all our outfield subs and Joe put himself forward to go up front. It was a forced sub. "Whichever way we did it we didn't want to be seen as disrespectful. That was the last thing I wanted." Pearce meanwhile says England are in good shape ahead of the championships in Sweden and was delighted to have come through the Azerbaijan game relatively unscathed. "As a manager you can't ask for more than that," Pearce said. "Apart from a couple of niggles we've got through pretty much unscathed. "The spirit is good in the camp. I've had the boys for the last two days, they've been fantastic and they would be crestfallen if they missed it." |

Brazil's 2007 world footballer of the year Kaka completed his transfer from Serie A side AC Milan to Real Madrid late on Monday, both clubs announced.
The 27-year-old signed a six-year contract with the Spanish giants for a reported fee of 65 million euros ($A114.5 million) which both clubs refused to confirm. If it is 65 million euros it would be the second biggest ever transfer - after that of French great Zinedine Zidane, who cost Real Madrid 75 million euros ($A132.11 million) in 2001. Bit more on kaka |
Fabregas isnt leaving and going to real..
