The thread isn't about not allowing people to be fat. They are just saying there is no benefit in making it seem as acceptable and 'normal' when it shouldn't be and how we shouldn't be sensitive towards them when it could help them.

Im just saying that they also are a course for the planets resources being drained.

No, MOSt people in the world are NOT straight white skinny men. actually, straight white skinny men are a MINORITY. They are not normal at all. It is aparteid to give str8 white skinny men such power.

I was not referring to the planet's resources. I was thinking a lot closer to home as far as the drains on the NHS are concerned.

But let's go back to the planets resources. they will wash more clothing as they will naturally sweat more, more washings mean more water being used, more detergents going in and polluting our rivers, more costs to water works etc.

All that extra washing will cause quicker damage to washign machines - what happens to the old one.... that's right, they get shipped off to some poor country and left on their doorstep.

See.....it's all relative.

What the many doctors and scientists have concluded as a healthy 'normal' BMI. That is what normal is weight wise as that is what is healthiest.

The reason I ask is you dont seem to have a grip on reality.

Nuclear plants dont waste resources, they generate large amount of energy for small amounts of resources, unlike coal oil or gas burning power stations. They do however leave small amounts of very nasty by products. Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

But what has that got to do with the price of eggs?

a nd does every skinny person do what the doctors and scientists say is healthy? last time i checked skinny people die of diseases too.

so next time i see a skinny person eating a hamburger, i have every right to slap it out of their hands and condemn them??

You do what you feel is right and live with the consequences. However expect some sort of backlash if the consequences impact adversely on someone else

when you live in society, you expect compassion from others, that is the point of a society.

I think you are missing the point. that's MY point.

No where in this thread does it condone being underweight, 'skinny' and unhealthy. This thread is about overweight people, it doesn't say we should starve fat people until they are underweight did it. Plus I said 'healthy normal BMI' which means you are not underweight nor overweight thus you are in the realms of being healthy.

So I do not understand where your point comes into play?

And one way of showing compassion is to help the person reduce weight down from being obese to a healthier weight, the only person who can actually lose the weight is the person needing to lose it, they have to take responsibility for their own lives.

If motivating them to lose weight helps them gain a safe weight isnt that showing compassion?

You condemn fat people. but how many "average" weight people also have high blood pressure, and or cancer, or a myraid of other diseases from how they eat, that also burden the NHS?? BUt yu are targetting fat epople.

Your argument is that fat people cost you money, well so does everyone else,. and looking "fat" does not make you unhealthy.
