Yeah I think so. Although I thought it peaked at 4.5 or whatever it was

Samuel. 06-01-2012 05:39 PM

At any one time suggests that it always had at least 6.9m watching :suspect:

It had a reach of 6.9m, so they will have all watched for at least 3 minutes.

Samuel. 06-01-2012 05:40 PM

Oh.

Badly worded tbh.

Jake. 06-01-2012 05:41 PM

Still pretty good. I'm quite happy with last nights ratings tbh, and the share was good enough

Jack_ 06-01-2012 05:46 PM

Pretty disappointing really considering the hype online, but I do guess this is proof that it means nothing. It's good for C5 though.

I predicted 3.7m, wasn't that far off.

No, 6.9m is the reach. Basically it means every single viewer that watched in total, regardless of how long for. For example a lot of people will tune in for half an hour or so, then switch off. As a random example, say 2m tuned in between 9:00 and 10:00, and a different 1m tuned in between 10:00 and 11:00, the total reach would be 3m.

Predictions for tonight? What was promising is that it went from 3.1m and peaked at 4.4m at 10pm, ended with around 3.7m.

So it grew generally throughout the show. Which indicates people were talking and some people tuned in later on from word of mouth.

Jake. 06-01-2012 06:05 PM

I'm going to be optimistic and guess 2.9. Hope I'm proved wrong and more than that tune in

Doogle 06-01-2012 06:11 PM

1.5-2m

Mystic Mock 06-01-2012 06:22 PM

I predict 2.4 million.

Me. I Am Salman 06-01-2012 06:25 PM

I think it will be roughly 2.01 million :)

Jake. 06-01-2012 06:33 PM

Had a look and the competition doesn't look too bad, think we will beat CH4 and BBC2 again

SSL2012 06-01-2012 06:42 PM

It could well be the higher ratings don't return until a year from now.
It is the 3rd series in only 6months...

To put it bluntly, celeb BB could average 2mil viewers and channel 5 will still be delighted with that. Its the only show that guarentess them a steady 1.5/2mil audience every night.

If you look at the articles about their audience share and profits, alot of it is down to BB.

I'll go with 2.9mil tonight.

Jack_ 06-01-2012 06:42 PM

Have a really bad feeling about tonight...1.1m. Yes, that bad. But I hope not.

Me. I Am Salman 06-01-2012 06:44 PM

Agree with the above comment. CBB is too underrated!

I think it's only competition is ITV, new series of Law and Order, but yes bar that it should beat C4 and BBC2, I don't know what ratings the Bank Job has been getting.

Can't see that happening lol. BB12 launched with 2.77 million and the next night was down to 1.9, so it shouldn't fall down that much. Hope I'm right lol :D

Yeah its getting about 1.1 million.

If CBB can average 2 million thats still amazing for Channel 5

Callum 06-01-2012 06:58 PM

Disappointing ratings for the launch :(

Yeah, I don't think they get those type of ratings unless the football is on, I'm sure they'll be happy.
