Also this has already been brought up in admin, theres not much more we can do about it atm so bumping it isnt going to make a difference.

Yes but the ones who don't want it don't have to get it. It's only for the members who want this feature. Why haven't admin gave a response yet?

It would be a lot of work doing it that way so if it was going to happen I would imagine it would be all or none.

And I don't know why admin havent answered yet Callum, maybe they have more important things going on right now?

OK, whichever way works best I suppose.

Well I've contacted Kaz twice now and she hasn't gotten back to me on both occasions so it does seem a little old. Maybe they do, but surely they as admins should be looking into this when they come online seeing as a lot of the forum are in favor of it. This thread was made nearly a month ago now and we still haven't got a reply.

Josy 13-03-2012 04:14 PM

I know the thread was made nearly a month ago, but all we can do is bring it up in admin and we have done so, I havent noticed Kaz online lately maybe thats why she hasnt replied to the pms but again thats only a guess.

It could be changed easily so that it didn't say the name of the person being ignored, but that would change it for everyone.

But if you use Firefox or Chrome there is a script you can download that removes the message. I'll test it first if you want.

Censorship sucks. man up. The ignore feature is stupid anyway.

If someone is harassing someone else then they should be banned, there should be no need for an ignore button.

Benjamin 17-03-2012 12:12 PM

Bump this so Smithy and co. can see James' response.

Ah :(

OK cool, I use Chrome and this sounds like a good alternative.

Smithy 18-03-2012 02:24 AM

thanks for replying james :D

Okay.

To completely ignore users on your ignore list -

For Firefox first go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../greasemonkey/ and install the Greasemonkey add-on.

Then restart you browser and click this link http://www.ardiman.de/assets/files/f...ignore.user.js

Click Install to run script.

For Chrome click the link http://www.ardiman.de/assets/files/f...ignore.user.js and click Install.

To get rid of it in Chrome go to Options - Extensions, then remove and in Firefox go to Tools - Greasemonkey - Manage User Scripts, then remove.

UPDATE: For Chrome it might not let you install extension outside of Chrome Web Store anymore so try this instead - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...capnh?hl=en-GB

UPDATE: For Safari I think you need to install GreaseKit-1.7.dmg from http://8-p.info/greasekit/ first - I haven't tested this.

Thanks. Will install that now. One question though, what happens if the user(s) in question start a thread, will I no longer be able to see any threads made by them or will they still appear?

James 19-03-2012 12:11 AM

You'll see the thread but not the first post.

Smithy 19-03-2012 04:52 PM

Thanks James :')

I would too but then it gets to a point where it's not fun anymore.

seanraff07 26-06-2012 11:09 PM

I'd rather try and get my points across to them rather than ignore them.
