i have grown up with EE and i pay for my licence - is it to much to expect a decent soap with decent storylines in ? do i not have a right to complin if i am not happy with it.

i can see i am very negative but its because EE used to be the best thing on tv and how i want them days to return - but i just can not see this happening if they are not showing charectors and storylines that interest us.

Lorraine Newman interview:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2...interview.html

Good interview IMO:). She knows what EE is about and I think she can turn the show around.

bbfan1991 11-11-2012 11:30 PM

I like that Lorraine thinks that the show should not revive around one family in particular and that she hates Kat's affair storyline like the majority of viewers, glad Kat will be getting her comeuppance.

Finally Denise and Patrick will get their own storyline and I also like that she wants to inject more lighter moments in the show:).

I have to admit I was very pleased with Lorraine's interview and it does look like she can turn the show around after the dreadful Kirkwood era. Just not happy with all these bloody Brannings.

It seems she hates the direction in which Kat's being taken (thankfully) but she seems happy for the Brannings to continue growing, etc.

Bye Chryed:D. I liked them at first but got bored of them not long after, i'll miss Christian but not Syed.

So glad that their storyline is coming to an end with them both going!

I am liking this Cora storyline, anything that gives her more screentime and of course Patrick showing concern for her/Tanya etc.

EE can do happy endings if they wanted, well Chryed fans got what they wanted but I am glad that there was no Julia's Theme this time because they don't deserve it IMO;).

flamingGalah! 15-11-2012 10:23 PM

Yes I was also glad they didn't get a 'Julia's Theme' or a CGI tube train, which I thought was gonna happen as they walked up Bridge Street :xyxwave:

'EastEnders': Shivani Ghai joins cast as Masood family friend

http://i2.cdnds.net/12/46/M/soaps_ea...ivani_ghai.jpg

Shivani Ghai has joined the cast of EastEnders.

The English-Indian Bride and Prejudice actress will play the role of Ayesha Rana, a Muslim girl who has moved to Walford for her arranged marriage.

Ayesha will reportedly move in with her family friend Zainab Masood (Nina Wadia) in order to prepare for the wedding.

However, Ayesha's arrival in December will be a shock to the system, as she is used to grander surroundings. She is described as a "naïve introvert" who is looking to fulfil her dying father's wish.

A source told The Sun: "Ayesha will be completely out of her comfort zone in Albert Square, she comes from a much more sheltered place."

Shivani Ghai said: "I've been watching EastEnders for years and am excited to be joining such an iconic show"

The actress has previously had roles in The Bill, My Hero, Doctors and Spooks among others, while more recently she starred in the movie Cleanskin opposite Sean Bean and Charlotte Rampling.
