Although I like an awful lot of people on TiBB, and although I have several people on here I class as friends, I do feel like an outsider.

Marc 26-09-2012 10:26 AM

Livia a goddess cannot be described as an outsider

Livia,i think it's to do with the thread subjects a lot,I like the ones what you can get your teeth into and sometimes ,now in my 30s, feel as though I am maybe too old to join in with the younger ones threads as sometimes I admit I dont know what they are on about, lol, although I have had great fun in this thread but i'll bet they are older members, have to add though that some of the younger members on here are wonderful.but Yes,i feel a lot like you.

I completely agree....think age plays a big part in some of the threads....

Livia 26-09-2012 10:38 AM

I'm not sure I agree Kazanne. I avoid the threads that I don't get or that I'm not interested in... but some of the people on here I class as friends are some of the younger members. Sometimes they make much more sense than some of the older members. I don't feel like I need to be included in everything, and I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing to feel a little on the outside.

Yeah, sometimes :D but it doesn't bother me in the least. I am one of those people who prefers to fade into the background a little bit and then just observe, so being on the outside looking in suits me fine most of the time :) We can't all light up a room or forum when we walk into it :D

Yeah, i'm a bit of a loner. I'm not too good in a big group. I'm better by myself really! :joker:

I have to agree about your point about a lot of the younger members. What I love is how open they are about stuff, it is very refreshing to read, and the majority of them have high morals and such a good sense of right and wrong. I also love how the mods don't take themselves over seriously, making for a more relaxed forum in the long run.

When first joining TIBBs after the dreadful DS, it took me a while to get used to it and a lot of the members, but now I am I hope :)

Benjamin 26-09-2012 10:58 AM

I'm an outsider, I don't really fit into a group, I mingle between most of them. I don't mind being an outsider, means I can come and go when I please and still get the best of what I want from the forum. Also a reason I try and make everyone go easy on newer/not so 'loud' members. We've all been the outsider at some point on here.

A couple of my favourite members on here are 17/ 19 infact they were one of the first on my friends lists, but they seem to be mature teens , most of the ones I banter with tend to be the older members and Yes it's nice to be individual as long as we have fun what does it really matter, good thread by reece btw:xyxwave:

It depends if you're a social animal or not. I'm not. I tend to stick with my trusted friends. I feel uncomfortable in a group!
