This is so absolutely 1000% true. Every time, I have ever in my life, helped anyone, I have suffered as a direct consequence of giving that help, and this grief has usually been caused by the very person I have helped.

'No good turn ever went unpunished'.

Sell what to the Chinese Takeaway Kiz? The toys or the dogs? I don't think they're into toy buying and the other is unthinkable.

What have you learned today that you never knew?

I just found out that there is a town called Bradford on Avon.
It looks quite nice actually, a contrast to the real Bradford.

I learned the other day that the North Sea is shallow.

Quote:

The North Sea is relatively shallow, with an average depth of 90m (295 ft) and a maximum depth of 700m. The seabed is mainly composed of mud, sandy mud, sand and gravel with an important variety of marine landscapes, including fjords, estuaries, sandbanks, bays and intertidal mudflats.
Quote:

What is the shallowest part of the North Sea?

the Dogger Bank

When the ice melted, water covered low-lying areas as sea levels rose, thus separating the British Isles from the rest of Europe. Geologically, the North Sea is part of the European continental shelf. It has an average depth 100 meters. The shallowest area is the Dogger Bank, which is only 12 metres (39 ft) deep.
