She's an irrelevance trying desperately for attention by being "controversial". It also gives her a sense of importance.

Ms Hopkins should be totally ignored. It is the best way to deal with sad attention-seekers.

Tregard 12-09-2013 12:48 AM

Man this woman craves attention.

Amy Jade 12-09-2013 12:53 AM

Katie is a queen!

Yes Nasty

MachoPoodle 12-09-2013 10:53 AM

I've never heard of this woman before, but I just might keep my eyes peeled from now on because it was pretty damn funny! It's one thing to be so silly and judgmental about names, but it's truly on a whole 'other level of stupidity when you actually go on TV spouting such utter drivel. I'm still in a "what the f did I just watch" state of mind...

I pity her children

Me too. Her skewed ideas and off the wall opinions about children make me think someone professional should be taking a bit of an interest Katie's own children.

Kizzy 12-09-2013 11:07 AM

Funny how the sanctimonious lemon at the side of her lamenting that childhood is so finite has her children in boarding school.
So the ONLY day she sees her children is on their birthdays maybe?

Nedusa 12-09-2013 11:45 AM

Mods.......please close or transfer this utterly pointless thread which has been dragging on now for what seems like years....

No one cares......there are far more important issues to discuss here.

Move it into Celebrity Trash/Gossip/Chav etc..... But tbh I'm sick of seeing this thread in the current section of "Serious Debates and News"

Glenn. 12-09-2013 12:10 PM

Agreed

Kizzy 12-09-2013 12:27 PM

I think the subject for wider debate here is why is this woman not allowed an opinion?

I'm talking about the fact that she was asked to come on the show to voice her opinion only to be castigated by some frump with a child in a BOARDING SCHOOL they LIVE there!
How hypocritical is that?
I was shocked at the level of rudeness they were allowed to go to in order to mock her... so her family functions differently to others big fat hairy deal!
She works!... feck me you get hauled over the coals for not working and basically accused of child neglect if you do!...

I have friends whose work takes them up and down the country, and it isn't possible to have their childs birthday at home.. When did that become a crime?
Mums are expected to work but be at home as well to bake cakes?...
It makes no sense, In this instance she has a point, never did my kids have cake, party and presents on their actual birthday, parties were ALWAYS at the weekend due to school, work and time commitments.
Being in the winter months it was silly to have a party after school in the cold and dark too.
She didn't say NO to a party... what's the problem?

She may be vey pragmatic in her explanations and is not apologetic in the slightest which I for one respect, stuff the hand wringers who sit there simpering mealy mouthed basking in their own self importance!

Good for her that she does her own thing!

Another rant...

3:00 when Katie looks her up and down :joker:

"every fat child lives in the shadow of a fat parent" "when you've got a zebra in a wig shouting at you it really is too much"

This woman http://i.imgur.com/yMANw0f.gif

Anyway I agree with her I don't see a problem in a parent telling their child they're fat, it's gonna happen at school anyway. It's better to come from someone who's gonna help them.

...so mothers and fathers should mould their parenting abilities around immature playground bullies?

Nedusa 15-10-2013 05:11 PM

How the feck is this thread still going...??? Ffs close this uninteresting, pointless, thread down or at least move it to " pointless and banal Celebrity tosh"

Thank you.....

A parent being honest is hardly the same as continuous teasing at school & their parenting abilities must already be failing if there child is fat in the first place.

MeMyselfAndI 15-10-2013 05:22 PM

I always agree with Katie! Shes great :worship:

Children being called 'fat' by their parents can hurt just as emotionally as being called 'fat' by someone in the playground, no matter how many times it's said.

And where are your facts when you say parents who have larger children have failed at being parents?

The way she looks at her up and down. :laugh2:

This woman is a cartoon, no way is she for real. She can't expect people to respect her or her opinions when she has to be so bloody rude.

She must sit at home listing topics that will get people riled up the most.
Either that or has an unhealthy fixation with how other people are different to her, how other people bring up their children.

MeMyselfAndI 15-10-2013 05:37 PM

"When you've got a zebra in a wig shouting at you, It's too much"
