The problem is people still don't know about Channel 5 or where to find it. Stupid or what?

Im_Juz_ChiLLin 27-08-2013 07:38 PM

It's official CBB is a flop ;)

It's on par with CBB10. We shouldn't make comparisons to CBB9 and CBB11 because they were on in the winter.

*mazedsalv** 28-08-2013 09:04 AM

Last night remained exactly the same as Monday night despite it being on later. Last night got 1.94m incl +1. The share will be quite impressive. Around 11.5% I predict.

This rating should ensure tonight goes 2m+ for the eviction.

*mazedsalv** 28-08-2013 10:43 AM

Celebrity Big Brother: 1.79m (10.6%) / 1.95m (12.3%)

A great share for that incl +1 rating!

Jake. 28-08-2013 10:53 AM

Great share and a good rating for 10pm

Gusto Brunt 28-08-2013 11:00 AM

How do they know how many people are watching?

BARB website tells you all. It's a method which is very accurate and how they have counted ratings for many, many years.

Good ratings. I'm really enjoying this series.

daniel-lewis-1985 28-08-2013 12:28 PM

How is everyone saying "good ratings"?

This is celeb BB and has only had 2 episodes hit over 2 million and that just launch and the next day.

Every other episode since has been under 2 million.

This is a flop in every which way for the amount of cash Channel 5 pay for these celebs.

You know they wont be happy having this show repeatedly under 2 million.

Hopefully it wont return next summer now, it wasn't needed and has took the shine off an incredibly successful civilian BB.

Thanks. I'll go there and have a look.

It's still actually on par with CBB10. CBB12 has beaten 2 CBB10 HL shows and CBB10 has beaten 2 CBB12 HL shows. 1.9m-2.0m overnight will equal the same as CBB10 as 2.3m official. The summer series will always be lower than the winter. The fact there has been no change to the same as last year is good. Also, last night was on at 10pm, so hopefully the upcoming evictions will be 2.0m-2.1m which will potentially beat some of CBB10 evictions.

CBB11 was a one off, but CBB13 should be compared to that, I don;t think CBB13 will average what CBB11 got, but CBB12 could beat CBB10.

jackc1806 28-08-2013 02:09 PM

Still think it should be above 2 million. Summer CBB shouldn't exist

*mazedsalv** 29-08-2013 09:05 AM

Last night's eviction got 2.04m incl +1.

We can't expect CBB11 ratings, we just need to compare with CBB10, and seeing that it averaged 2m overnights, 2.3m official, it's around on par with it right now. Summer CBB is just wrong for ratings, winter CBB always does better.

Im not comparing it to CBB11.

Im just saying the ratings aren't that thrilling are they.

No, but all summer CBB will be the same I think. Eg, CBB13 will be higher than this series and then CBB14 will be the same as this series or lower.

MTVN 29-08-2013 11:15 AM

Just means it'll be harder for them to get decent celebs for the summer series then, as long as they're not desperately in need of any exposure at all the best celebs will probably only want to go in during January or not at all

Yeah im aware of that.

Hopefully they see summer CBB is a waste of money after this year and cancel it.

daniel-lewis-1985 29-08-2013 12:13 PM

These ratings are really close to the BB14 to be honest which looks very good for civilian Big Brother.

Shows regular folk can still pull in as many viewers as the celebrity version.

Im_Juz_ChiLLin 29-08-2013 12:45 PM

As i told everyone i am the expert in all BB material, CBB is a flop the master has spoken ;)

*mazedsalv** 29-08-2013 02:50 PM

Well it was a good sign it was the highest since Friday I guess, today will be under 2m again, but tomorrow should get 2.1m-2.2m as bigger characters are up.

The CBB ratings show how well BB14 did actually and how much of it's launch audience it held onto. BB14 launched with 2.13m and ended with 2.09m, virtually no drop, and averaged around 1.7m for evictions despite only launching with 2.1m. If CBB12 continued the same way and held onto over 80% of the launch during most of the show, CBB would be getting around 2.5m nightly.

So far:

Launch- 2.83m
Friday- 2.15m
Saturday- 1.64m
Sunday- 1.67m
Monday- 1.94m
Tuesday- 1.95m
Wednesday- 2.04m

Predictions is 1.92m tonight and 2.12m tomorrow.

g17m 29-08-2013 06:39 PM

It's hard to think the first ever episode of CBB on channel 5 peaked at 8 million compared to these sh*t figures
