Umm...no. Newton was part of the academic community. He was a fellow of Trinity College and Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University.

Oh yeah. Some people work on their own though. I have no choice anyway, because I have changed everything. Nobody would have a clue how to work with me.

Anyway, getting back on topic, it seems that individuals like Lauren take some people way out of their comfort zone! ;)

That is not necessarily a bad thing at all. We all need, to one degree or another, to learn to be more accepting of 'difference', provided that difference does not harm others.

True, some people do work on their own. And, to be fair: strictly speaking, Newton was working alone when he came up with his main theory; but only for two years, whilst the university was closed due to plague.

Yeah. I'd agree with that.

She's different alright! If there's one thing I can't stand it's...

As I understand it Lauren is a 'transwoman'.

By law she is female and it is unlawful to treat her as a male - her former gender although, chromosome-wise, she will always be male: the surgery she has had, and the oestrogen tablets (or injections) she takes cannot change the genetic makeup.

I agree,I said this before.I got infracted for it.Apparently that opinion is not allowed in here.Even though it is the truth.

Ok,I will retract 'Fruit Loop' and replace it with 'Has psychological issues'.I still feel sorry for Courtney though,Her experience must be hampered due to Laurens clingyness.

CaudleHalbard 31-08-2013 02:07 PM

I think Courtney is pretty damaged anyway. Seeing this 19yr old sitting in the diary room with huge, discoloured faked boobs drooping down to her navel and thinking about her being married to someone older than her own father, makes me realise she has issues of her own.

RodHull 31-08-2013 02:37 PM

Poor Courtney don't you mean. I feel sorry for her, shes desperate to mingle with other HMs but doesn't want to hurt Laurens feelings, she looks trapped.

[QUOTE=DanaC;6349459]I'd believe that if you hadn't already insisted on calling her Laurence.

To call her quite tongue in cheek a male version of her (I'm assuming) changed by deed poll name is considered offensive enough to have some of my posts removed, but to call other housemates derogatory words such as "wh**e", "prostitute" or "slapper" is acceptable and completely allowed on this forum?

Okay, I get it now. Be a sheep and toe the line and never, ever, under any circumstances, mention anything other than favourable comments about Lauren.

(Please note: I'm avoiding using the male version of the name, in order to people please, be a good little girl, and not have my posts removed. Hope that meets with approval).
