Q. what other possibly lethal gas could be released by fracking?

Not completely sure of the ins and outs of it lol, but it's like drilling deep into the earth to get gas from shale rock, been used a lot in America which has got them cheaper prices but the environmentalists are dead against it

If you don't know what it is or the implications of it why are you saying you welcome it?
Best to educate yourself on things before you decide to champion them.
It's not just environmentalists that oppose it but geologists too.

I mean I don't know the specifics of the actual method, I do know that it has been very successful in the US, that it would make energy bills cheaper, and that if done properly it doesn't necessarily cause massive harm to the environment. Plus environmentalists invariably exaggerate the dangers of things like this :idc:

I hate people that complain about snow, i would give anything to have snow here in California.

When i have fond memories of my childhood, almost all of them involve snow.

We are around 850 miles from one end to the other, the proposed places for testing is Leeds... forgive me for not sharing your enthusiasm.

I don't think that was the intention, they are just an alternative to coal and nuclear as a means of generating electricity as far as I know as they are cleaner and greener.

Water, sand and chemicals are injected into the rock at high pressure which allows the gas to flow out to the head of the well. The process is carried out vertically or, more commonly, by drilling horizontally to the rock layer"

Wouldn't it be nice if they passed on even a small percentage, as it is a natural resource that is powering them, and I presume the tax payer paid to build them, just a thought.

If you want to deviate the point away from the energy companies ethical responsibilities yes...
I understand this may be under debate now my guess is it could be removed.
At what cost I don't know.

But it would be impossible to measure how much energy they save each household, the benefit is not having to rely so heavily on fossil fuel and aid in decarbonisation targets.
It may not benefit us at all initially, it's an investment in the future.
Less pollutants and as we have little coal of our own (spit) less importation costs.
