Seriously hope H sues them for damages, that's ridiculously bad journalism. Misprints are to be expected but that's horrific, there are thousands of people who now think that bloody H from Steps went on to front a rock band and is a child molester. Like, what? Why are people so thick? Bloody hell.

King Gizzard 28-11-2013 01:44 PM

the amount of stuff he's done/they've done as a band that can now be looked at in a different light is frightening

Z 28-11-2013 01:46 PM

Out of respect for the other members of the band I don't think I want to watch anything that might taint my view of their discography or achievements, I watched the Never Mind The Buzzcocks clip and it weirded me out.

King Gizzard 28-11-2013 01:49 PM

Last Train Home/pretty much most of Start Something (the album) was my one of my favourite songs/albums so it's ****ty that I can't bring myself to listen to it, still fill really weird about it all

Z 28-11-2013 01:54 PM

I think it'll take most fans of their work a long time to be able to listen to their music again. Hopefully in a few years the other guys can reunite and there will be good will and support for them.

A spokeswoman for the Attorney General's Office said it was a "police matter" but added: "We understand that the names of the co-defendants in the Ian Watkins case were posted online but have now been removed.

"As has been previously reported, the co-defendants were the mothers of the victims."

Detective Chief Inspector Peter Doyle, of South Wales Police, which is investigating the allegations against Watkins, said the force was in "consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service and will take action if appropriate".

On Wednesday, he warned: "There is a very real danger that some of the detail being posted will lead to the identification of victims which will cause a great deal of distress to them and their families."

Earlier this week, the Attorney General brought the first contempt of court proceedings involving the use of social media, after a man tweeted images allegedly showing James Bulger's killer Jon Venables.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into the Welsh rock singer
He was given a 14-month suspended prison sentence by a High Court judge.

A number of people have also been fined for breaking the law on Facebook or Twitter.

Nine people were ordered to pay compensation to the woman raped by footballer Ched Evans after naming her online, while Sally Bercow, the wife of Commons Speaker John Bercow, paid former Tory peer Lord McAlpine £15,000 in damages for a libellous tweet last year.

Ms Geldof, who has written for several newspapers and magazines, presented a number of TV shows and worked as a model, has more than 160,000 followers on Twitter.

Watkins, 36, from Pontypridd, South Wales, pleaded guilty to offences he had previously denied in a last-minute change of plea.

The charges included sexually touching a one-year-old and encouraging a mother to abuse her own child during a webcam chat.

Watkins also admitted possessing and making child abuse images as well as being behind the plot to rape the child.

Meanwhile, former Steps singer Ian H Watkins was said to be "deeply upset" after he was mistaken for the Lostprophets frontman.

He decided to leave Twitter after he was subjected to online abuse, while the entertainment website E! Online accidentally used his picture to illustrate a story about the case involving his namesake.

In a statement, Mr Watkins' lawyer said: "This is an extremely serious and damaging mistake to have made and this matter been referred to our lawyers."

I feel sick reading this, why would their mothers do this? disgusting creatures. I can't believe a mother would do this

Shaun 28-11-2013 05:40 PM

Stupid timing (since the trial is ongoing) but I don't really care that she tweeted their names.

I loved this song and the whole album. :bawling:
Very hard to listen to now, even though I feel I should be able to listen to their music without that feeling.
Perhaps someone should leak instrumental versions?

And agreed, the NMTB clip was really creepy.

Sadly, I can believe a mother would do this. Seeing some of the stuff just this year on the news, where mothers have beaten and/or starved their children to death endorses the fact that just giving birth doesn't produce some magical, mystical maternal force in every woman. Some people are just evil, and as I said earlier in the thread, I'd like to see these women spayed like dogs. In my mind they've given up forever the right to have a child.

My thoughts on Don't Tell the Bride are actually very important :hmph:

james130 28-11-2013 06:07 PM

Yeah, that's how I found out the names after Peaches tweeted them.
But in her defence, they were mistakenly tweeted; and made public knowledge, by the court houses twitter themselves.

The one looks so regular and normal and her facebook is still online with pictures of the poor child.
The other one looks typical 'goth' but still, both so young and you'd never suspect either of such a depraved crime.

Just watched the segment from today's This Morning, poor Holly Willoughby was in floods of tears, I'm assuming she must have met Ian Watkins at some stage, maybe multiple times, considering he went out with Fearne Cotton?

Marsh. 28-11-2013 10:14 PM

Bloody hell, did they just do a random google search for that image?

All these so called journalists get away with murder.

Read earlier that they also dated a couple of times.
