Dancing on Ice stars recreate Oscars selfie ahead of final episode

The stars of Dancing on Ice have come together to recreate the Hollywood selfie photo from the Oscars.

Philip Schofield uploaded the photo to Twitter from rehearsals for the show, which will air its last ever episode tomorrow (March 9).

The presenter was joined by his co-host Christina Bleakley, skater Matt Evers and judges Robin Cousins, Jason Gardiner, Karen Barber and Ashley Roberts for the selfie.

Ellen DeGeneres posted the original selfie during the Academy Awards last weekend. It has become the most retweeted post of all time on Twitter.

A whole host of stars have uploaded their own selfies since the Oscars, including the cast of Made in Chelsea and the BBC Breakfast presenters.

Ray Quinn, Hayley Tamaddon and Beth Tweddle will compete in tomorrow's live final, which will also feature the last ever televised bolero from Torvill and Dean.

The final of Dancing on Ice All-Stars airs tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.

My favourite picture too :)

I still can't believe Dancing On Ice will end. :bawling: It's one of my most favourite shows on ITV. I really hope Torvill and Dean will return to Dancing On Ice one day. :)

Since its launch on January 14, 2006, the show has given us some truly memorable comedic moments - with Todd Carty's stumble off the rink in series four certainly springing to mind.

As ITV prepares to broadcast the last televised Bolero performance from Olympian duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and crown its final pair of winners, we present ten facts about Dancing on Ice in celebration of all things icy and sparkly.

1. Since 2006, Torvill and Dean have taught an incredible 111 different celebrities, comprising a total of 700 choreographed routines and a staggering 260 days on the ice. This all amounts to a grand total of 3,432 hours spent coaching. Somebody give them another medal!

2. Alongside all this training and coaching, the Olympic champions have also performed 90 different routines themselves for the show over the nine years.
