Big drop.

Bad luck with the scheduling.

Tonight clashing with Sherlock is a complete joke! What were they thinking?

Nothing unusual the same what it usually is on c5 for a Saturday:)

Scream 05-01-2014 02:25 PM

Marcus said on Twitter another great day today and it's going to be hard to fit everything in...so people will speak about it more on Twitter if it's more of Jasmine's antics and people will be intrigued. I genuinely think we're heading for some high c5 ratings.

Jamesy 05-01-2014 02:50 PM

Tonight I can see there being low figures due to Sherlock on BBC One. Although from Monday hopefully some big ratings will start coming thick and fast.

daniel-lewis-1985 05-01-2014 03:07 PM

Why the hell did they go up against Sherlock? lol

#CelebrityBigBrother continued with 2.33m/8.5%, 190k up on last January's equivalent Sunday night episode.

Nice rise despite being up against Sherlock (which got 8.8m) and Bad Teacher which has the same demo audience as BB.

Also great to see it 190k up on CBB11 first Sunday. Hopefully with less competition, it will climb throughout the week.

Jake. 06-01-2014 08:58 AM

Yeah, a good rise.. what did Bad Teacher get, if you know?

The surprise rating of the night I think. It got 2.46m incl +1. Pretty sure that is one of the highest premiers in quite a long time! I expected it to be around 1.5m. Probably means without BT and Sherlock tonight, the CBB ratings should increase.

daniel-lewis-1985 06-01-2014 10:28 AM

Not bad but with such a good series I would love to see it hitting over 2.5 nightly.

so 2.0 without plus 1 imo was probably down to Sherlock which got 8.8 million.

Bad teacher got 2.45 (massive +1 figure of 546,000)

You forget that people hardley watch channel 5 or wouldint give it the time of day, i only ever watch 5 when bb's on channel 5 is still that ****ty channel, for me its improved alot with big brother but i dont think the channel deservs the show.

3.4 million still watched on launch.

Channel 5 has more viewers than people think.

You would be surprised with how many people watch C5. They show some good American dramas, the odd good documentary and a lot of decent films from time to time. They are a bit like a younger C4 (maybe even C4 in its current form), they have the main leading show (Big Brother) and the odd decent show now and again, with films and documentaries in the middle.

Big Brother and Wentworth Prison are the only shows on watch on Channel 5 but it has some one off stuff I have liked such as on Benefits and Proud and Obsessive and Compulisve Collectors. I dont understand the hate even if it isn't on par with Channel 4 although over 2013 there was less on C4 I liked.

I would predict around 2.50m for tonight. Which would get to around 2.8m-2.9m officially which would either match or beat CBB8/CBB11 2.8m official! So we should hope for overnights of 2.5m for CBB13 to be the highest series to date on Channel 5 (BB and CBB).

UK TV Ratings ‏@TVRatingsUK 24s
#CelebrityBigBrother averaged 2.43m/9.7% last night, 100,000 up on Sunday night's episode. #CBB

jackc1806 07-01-2014 09:10 AM

C4 smashed BB with 4.3m watching Benefit Street.

Confident with less competition we will see it at 2.5m

*mazedsalv** 07-01-2014 09:21 AM

That's a great share too! Channel 4 did incredibly well last night.Tonight could we see 2.5m?

2nd episode of The 739 on BBC1
Stargazing Live on BBC2
The Lying Game Crimes that Fooled Britain on ITV (Tuesdays are seen as flop night on ITV)
The Taste on Ch4

Ah to be fair, The Taste could do very well as well as obviously the second ep of The 739

The Taste could skew older though

True, but I'm sure the whole Nigela Lawson stuff could intrigue some more people than usual to the show.

Yep, I think it was up on the overnights of CBB11. So that's two days in a row which has been up on CBB11 despite launching slightly lower.
