Then today he has apologised despite her not making any moves to calm things down herself.
All that is far from the actions of a coward, a coward goes and hides away not go and seek to get answers.

Actually she is the one acting like a coward, playing a victim role while not daring to say why she is so against him personally and why she is carrying that hate on while they are housemates too.
While also making sure she has others around her try to intimidate and make him look bad
They are more like cowardly actions, big when others are there, far more silent when they are not.

Yes and the Edits are splitting Men from Women
like Linda saying like all men "Lee will not tell them"

Linda is is so bitter

I didn't say she made others ask Jim what happened! I said she has been goading him into an argument since day one & she knew that he would eventually snap & bring up the incident... He was asked why Linda hates him so much & he said 'ask her about Frank Carson's dressing room' as that is why he believes she has such a problem with her, as Jim called the police after her thrieving husband stole money out of Frank Carson's wallet! He didn't go into details & it was LINDA to mentioned her dead husband, all to get sympathy...

He never mentioned her dead husband, let alone slagged him off! PMSL! :joker:

He simply mentioned an incident what he believes to be the cause for Linda's hate, that's all...

If you were locked up in a house with someone who hates you for calling the police on her husband (which he was perfectly entitled to do) and then spends all their time needlessly goading you to try and make you look bad would you snap and bring it up?

I don't particularly like either of them, but if I were trying to keep the secret of my hatred...secret, I'd be too scared of what might come out were I constantly bear-baiting.

And hey, now people under the age of 40 have heard of Frank Carson ;)

I don't think it's been said that it was him that called the police on her husband. I gather that it was a row in a bar where the theft was brought up and Linda got Jim thrown out that is a problem.
Nobody even knows for sure if that IS the problem as Linda didn't confirm this. It could be something else that she dislikes him for.
The feeling is obviously mutual but Linda is being more honest about it while Jim has been sly. One minute he's being snide to her, the next licking up to her.

My take on it is that back when it happened, Jim probably got rude about it to Linda who had nothing to do with it and would have probably rather it was kept quiet to protect the couple's embarrassment over the incident, he was probably drunk and horrible so she got him thrown out. She's held a dormant grudge ever since which was reawakened when she found out she was going to be in the house with him and probably neither of them really remember exact specifics of why they hate each other so much but she hates him for embarrassing her and dobbing her husband in and he hates her because he did the morally right thing but got a heap of **** for it and can't be arsed with her holding a grudge so whatever she gives him, he'll throw right back at her. I think he's probably just sick of it and wants to put it to rest; she just wants him to go away and being around him has brought back awful memories from her past and she's surely still mourning her husband's death too.

I understand from other forum posts that it was him that called the police. I'm sure Jim has been thrown out of as many bars as he's had hot dinners, I VERY much doubt that would be the reason.

Then he blames Luisa for telling Linda when he asked her to! He is an absolute lying coward.

I hate the way he operates. He lights the fire, blames the other person for reacting and when they do he either walks away or acts all innocent and 'amazed'.
Linda wasn't blameless, but he is a manipulative lying coward and I don't get that some people can't see that.

Oh right. I hadn't seen that. I didn't mean they disliked each other because he was thrown out of the bar  I meant whatever went on during that row...

And none of the rest of us do, so I don't see much point in trying to either make Jim out to be vindictive or make Linda out to be attention seeking for sympathy beyond commenting on whether Jim should have apologised or not (I thought he should and I'm glad he did - it's never okay to upset someone) because until we know the full story of why Linda dislikes him so much, we're just speculating and putting words into peoples' mouths that they didn't say.

jim so coward he is doing a good job at self control. and nor rising to the bait and entrapment tactics of the bitter sour faced hag that is linda
