They couldn't have fun in the Garden because of the neighbors, and Jim bitches about any fun do remember this is the same guy that bitched about them singing Roar in the Living Room when BB played it for them to you know Enjoy.

It's really annoying how some people gloss over Jim's mistakes and change their opinions to suit Jim, it's weird.

pmsl if it were up to some people on here this series would have been deprived of all of its entertaining and interesting parts (that have actually made it so popular and talked about, I should add) and they wouldn't be happy until every housemate went to bed in silence at 10pm, respected each other, got along and complimented one another and talked all day about their favourite foods

It's a good thing that they aren't letting Jim go to bed in silence, and from the clips we've seen since him and Luisa are now engaging in a tit-for-tat, petty exchange of 'who can make the most noise to piss the other one off', and eventually if they continue I think Jim's going to explode, and that should make for amazing TV :worship: yet some people would rather them respect him and let him go to bed, the opinions on here sometimes...

If Jim wants to sleep then NO ONE has the right to tell him he is wrong for doing so - and this isn't the first time this has happened. I am only 24 and the behaviour in that house would do my head in...

And what bugs me the most is people criticising Jim for not liking the screaming... but he doesn't make a massive issue about it. He takes himself off into the garden or living room to patiently wait for quiet (or them to fall asleep)... he doesn't kick off and complain. Until those certain people purposely try to annoy him... and even then he just tells them to f off.

Brilliant and fair post.
No matter whether I like a housemate or not, I have always maintained that people trying to go to sleep or being asleep at night should be allowed to sleep undisturbed.

I would be really likely to go off it if I was trying to go to slepp or was asleep in a bedroom and others woke me up for no necessary reason.
Do the socialising elsewhere not in the bedroom, housemates are 'not' allowed to sleep in the living areas so why be allowed to party and make noise in the bedroom.

I say that as to any housemate, even a housmate I really didn't like because after the tedious days they have in there it must be a massive relief to finally get to go to sleep and pass away a few more hours.

I would actually be thrown out of the BB house if that happened and I was in, I would have already really fired off on all cylinders as to Luisa, she is 100% ignorant and that does not come across as funny or entertaining to em anyway.

Once you may let pass, regularly like she does it,no way, if I was woke up or couldn't get to sleep for her nonsense then I would make sure she got none either.
Iam a real grouch if I cannot get my sleep and I hate being woken up for no reason, anywhere.

Mystic Mock 18-01-2014 11:17 PM

Tbf you haven't gone in the BB house though Joey, Jim has the same ideals so maybe he should of thought about that con as it's such a big deal to him.

Everybody's idea of a good BB and what makes a hm entertaining is obviously different! I'll admit it's getting more entertaining now.. But that first week was complete and utter infantile nonsense!

No I haven't Mock but I watch BB and form my opinions of how I'd think were I to be there.

No matter what,I would never condone making deliberate noise around someone trying to get to sleep or even moreso when they were asleep. That is sheer ignorance so Jim I am behind as to that all the way and anyone else who would moan at it too.

They should surely be able to expect some consideration and decency from 'other' adults as to that.

Nope, every night I come on here there's another thread about how Luisa's being 'such an inconsiderate cow, get her out!!!' or 'how dare they be so inconsiderate to Jim, I can't wait until these rude arsesholes leave' or 'Linda's so miserable, get her out' (when actually Jim without Linda and Linda without Jim are kinda irrelevant) or 'Lee's such a twat, I hope he's evicted!!!!!!'...so yeah, I don't think it's exaggerative to assume that these people would rather watch a series that has no feuds, no arguments, no storylines - just a bunch of people sat around having banal discussions, quite exactly how people would expect that to be as popular as this is however is beyond me

(oh wait I forgot to reply to this - will do so now)

Well not exactly, I accept that not everyone has to like or indeed condone some housemates behaviour but the problem for me arises when these very people that spend every minute on here discussing what said housemates are doing want them to leave. I mean that doesn't make sense. Sure, housemates like Luisa may be inconsiderate and rude - I don't think many on here would disagree with that, and most of the housemates in this series aren't people I would wish to associate with - but I don't watch this show looking for people I'd love to befriend, Big Brother is a form of escapism, I watch it hoping to see behaviour that I wouldn't experience in my real life - because it's interesting, entertaining and gives me something to talk about. So while people like Luisa may not exactly be nice, I don't want them to be because they're pissing everyone off and creating all the moments that have made this series so popular (and that cannot be denied - no way in hell would so many people be talking about this CBB had it not been for storylines like the love triangle, Luisa's arguments, Jim and Linda's feud etc) and so the housemates involved should of course remain in the show, it's as if some people don't want the series to succeed?

The other night when Jasmine and Luisa were deliberately keeping Jim up I agreed that they were being out of order (but I still wanted them to carry on doing it, them pissing him off makes better TV than if they'd just be considerate and be quiet...not quite sure how anyone could disagree with that), but on this occasion I actually think everyone but Jim was in the right - if the majority of housemates wanted to sleep then fair enough, you go elsewhere, but that night everyone but Jim was awake and enjoying themselves in the bedroom, I don't see why they should have to move just so one person can sleep. He could have quite easily have stayed in the treehouse until they'd gone to bed

Bitter, maudlin alcoholic.
Sick of seeing him shuffling around the house like an extra from thriller.

Actually I can take on board a great deal of what Jack and Mock,(really good thought provoking posts),have said.
I wouldn't like a house where all were in bed asleep by 10pm or whatever.
I also do take on board that Jim was the only one who was moaning at not being able to settle for the night too.

Mind,Linda could do with going to bed very early indeed to catch up on beauty sleep and also improve her grumpiness in a morning too.

So perhaps I would give some extra tolerance as to some noise in the bedroom a fair bit of the time.
Anyway,I am actually off to bed myself now and all powers that be help anyone around me who dare make any noise and wake me before I have to be up.

Much as I like Jim.I kind agree that you should expect this in BB. If it was every night I would say it was wrong, but as a one off..he should lighten up a bit :p

Seraphim 19-01-2014 12:28 AM

Some people seem to have been watching a different show from me. Jim didn't ask or expect everyone to be quiet. He was sitting minding his own business with a cuppa when Dappy came out and commented on him sitting out there, so he explained he wanted peace and he didn't want Dappy to say anything, because he/it was alright. He was obviously knackered and ashen-faced and he's maybe not at his best late at night. Fair dos.

With the best of intentions, Dappy took it upon himself to go and say to people that Jim wanted to go to bed. What's the problem with that? Wee small hours.. Jim's tired .. they all share a room ... But Linda immediately launches into her favourite mode of being vile about Jim in a loud voice so he'd hear, and the cut meant that we didn't hear what else was said, but no doubt he'd have heard more, because Luisa has a voice like a foghorn and is never slow to voice her opinions. How is any of that Jim's fault? Yeah, he was really grumpy thereafter, but so what - I don't blame him: I cannot stand the nasty atmosphere that Linda creates with her bitching, and Luisa is Linda's staunchest ally and sidekick now, so he wouldn't necessarily have seen the humour in her calling him "The Grim Reaper".

I'm not a Jim fan: I've never seen his show, and I'd probably hate it if I did, but he is getting a raw deal from some of the people in that house, and I don't think it's deserved.

Kizzy 19-01-2014 12:36 AM

Pfft, that wasn't tea in that cup.. he has booze stashed all over.
He looks puffy and clammy because he's an alcoholic.
He was shuffling and she made a joke, getting all huffy was just silly. Take thebadvice you give linda every night and 'go to bed!'

I agree, but it's probably easier said than done in that place and under these circumstances. He was probably missing Lionel too, because he and Lionel would often sit and chat together in the evenings.

That's quite nasty IMO just because someone had drink addiction in the past doesn't mean they can't overcome it, I have seen a few housemates put away more drink than he does but they don't get continually called an alcoholic.

Jim said himself that he learned to control his drinking when it started causing problems in his life, he said he still takes a drink but knows when to stop and he has been seen on the show switching to tea when other housemates are still downing the booze.
