Don't worry, BBC HAS to air that somewhere, it's a rule that if you're competing you have to air the semi-finals.

So they have to air it, then they shove it on a side channel? The shade of it all

jackc1806 05-03-2014 06:57 PM

I don't see be point of making it online only.. They are still paying to make the programmes

Jarrod 05-03-2014 07:01 PM

Another thing I don't understand is that BBC Three's audience share for 2013 was 1.5% while BBC Four's share was only 1.0%

They only just made it a HD channel too.. Another waste of money.

Get rid of 1xtra or merge it with 6 music.
Axe Radio 3- absolute pile of ****.
Cut back on Radio 4 Xtra and the local stations
Axe the welsh and Gaelic ones
Stop wasting money on stupid 3 part dramas and invest in actual proper series ect ect ect

jackc1806 05-03-2014 07:10 PM

Budget 13/14
BBC One: £1,051m
BBC Two: £415m
BBC Three: £85m
BBC Four: £49m
CBBC: £79m
CBeebies: £29m
BBC News Channel: £53m
BBC Parliament: £2m

Merge the kids channels too

I can't find the figures but I think Three has a running cost of about £90 million annual, where as Four is £65 million? It probably came down to the fact Four has less repeats from One and Two.

EDIT: actual figures above!

Here's a petition if anyone wants to sign it

http://www.change.org/en-GB/petition...rust-save-bbc3

Let's hope this goes the same way as the 6 Music campaign did

InOne 05-03-2014 07:21 PM

I don't want BBC4 to go as I like some stuff on there too. But BBC3 should be kept and they should shuffle some stuff around elsewhere.

Shaun 05-03-2014 07:21 PM

obviously the best solution would be to reduce the pay given to certain celebs.

reece(: 05-03-2014 07:22 PM

If BBC3 goes, BBC4 cannot be BBC4 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...8/ed2305b7.png

CBeebies and CBBC could easily merge, you run the latter channels programmes from 6am until 9am, CBeebies until 3pm, and then CBBC again until 6pm.
