Hope you are feeling better Kate, with a bit of luck they will get your Meds right.

They do work in the end, all just takes time.

Chill out babes its called lucid dreaming and to be honest once you get control of it its amazing.

Those normal folk don't have this luxury lol.

I have epilepsy so I naturally get it can be quite epic when you have control of it. You can do anything in your dreams and if their lucid you can travel the world but its very very scary the first time you experience them.

I had the strangest dream last week where I was involved in a bomb going off , I was laying on the floor then as I was waking up this weirdly angelic whisper said "Wake up you're suffocating"

I woke up face down on my pillow gasping for air.

Just roll with it its probably gonna get weirder but embrace it ;)

You cant say that. You're not a qualified doctor.

Meds were invented to help people who suffer with various illnesses.

I was very lucky to get an eeg and diagnosed in days and those meds let me live a normal life for 6 years.

Not all drugs are bad, medics dedicate their lives to cure these problems remember. They are the geeks of society.

You don't need to do this, BUT the other way takes longer.

Edit. Thinking about it a bit more, Im not sure that^ method would work for me at all...

It sounds absolutely ridiculous and you need to be serious about it, but how I learnt was a few times a day (when alone obviously) I would jump 3 times and question in my head if I was dreaming..although I knew I wasn't. I did this for about 5 days or so, and then it started to happen in my dreams (as dreams are usually stuff you have done recently). But when you jump in a dream it feels different..and you kind of..click on. Once you realise you are dreaming, just go with it.

Yes they were but we have also overused meds, antibiotics being a case in point. You are not a qualified doctor either so my view is just as valid as yours, and I very much doubt Kate is going to throw her pills down the loo on my say so  There are other ways to treat mental health issues, counselling, relaxation therapy etc, I just don't thinK throwing pills at a problem helps IN EVERY CASE, that is not to say they don't work well in some situations. Cases should be treated on an individual basis not a one size fits all approach.

..I will say though Cherie that like you, I personally would rather not take medication generally but especially more 'heavy' medication, that's just a personal thing...but from my own experiences recently of people I know and people I also know who work in the mental healthcare system, I know that with cutbacks etc that therapies are not so available and there are huge waiting lists so you're quite lucky to get to see someone quickly or in reasonable time..this is wrong, I feel really strongly about this and that people with anxiety/emotional/stress/mental issues etc are being 'forgotten' almost..I'm not sure that's the right word but anyway, with medication I think that it should be monitored frequently because as someone said, maybe there are times when it is given to someone who may not need it but I think those who also do need it are not monitored to make sure they're taking it etc if that makes sense...people can just stop taking it with no GP advice and that can lead to extremely severe consequences...
