I agree with you, what you quoted was my response to someone who said why doesn't Gary wear hearing aids. I was explaining that he does but it's an aid not a cure for deafness, there are still times when it is difficult for him to hear even with hearing aids on.

People supporting Gary doesn't matter to me in the slightest, i've said time and time again that i don't even dislike him, i find him mildly amusing at times, I don't care who people support so i don't quite see where you got that from :laugh:

But what has that got to do with anything? Is this threat about Gary being fake or not? because some people seem to be missing the point.

Can you be more specific? When was this conversation that he copied?

I don't think he is fake, he will no matter what noise is going on around him pick up certain words especially his own name, so should he hear his name he will respond with what, or what are you saying.
I do however think he winds some of them up a little but that makes for really good viewing, he does keep saying they are there for a laugh.

Well he is certianly providing, for me anyway, plenty of laughs.I love how James gets really frustrated with him but then Gary is able to turn things back onto him.

All those who have said hearing aids are not cures but an aid, that is right, often they can magnify problems, especially in a room with lots of people in who are all talking and /or making other noise.
Concentration needs to be at its fullest, Gary is 70 and after his operations as to his brain,I doubt his concentration levels are that strong either.

So for me he is not fake, he is doing a little winding up but he is for me, really top rate entertainment in there.

He just repeated something that he'd heard and said that he likes it. Can't see much wrong in that and it certainly doesn't prove that he's........ FAKE.

Quoting or paraphrasing doesn't make someone fake. Copying others from the day we are born is a natural part of the learning process. We absorb, store, and utilise information from others throughout our lives, whether it is via real life, film, theatre or books. Gary is very evidently a spiritual, intelligent person with an enquiring mind and to recycle a phrase he may have heard in which he recognises merit, is not fake but completely natural. As another forum member - Mr Wong - pointed out, had Gary claimed authorship of the phrase, or even the idea behind it, then that would be different. Just like the anti-Gary lobby within the house, you really do seem to be in danger of clutching at non-existent straws to justify your dislike of him.
