i wasnt arguing with you, I was only defending ROB because you were saying its stupid she may not feel that way. She posted that because she gets anoyed with that if you make mistakes then, who doesnt but that no reason to ggo saying this post is pontless and stupid !

Chrizzle 24-11-2006 04:27 PM

But it was you who was making mistakes..?

SiMoN! 24-11-2006 04:55 PM

TBH i think that by makeing the topic it will have upset some people
because it pointing out someones bad points

andybigbro 24-11-2006 05:04 PM

i just think we should all be friends lol

:conf2::dance2:

MarkWaldorf 24-11-2006 05:21 PM

Although it could upset people, I think they (we, I) should be aware. Everyone makes mistakes when it comes to spelling/typing etc but some people may be dyslexic as some else pointed it. It is better if they're aware.

James 24-11-2006 05:41 PM

I think ROB is going to be surprised that this thread has had 106 replies!

It's just the original post was prompted by the 'of' instead of 'have' thing being used in about 5 topic titles.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I can't recall any mistakes you've made. I didn't know you were dyslexic.

It's really only people who are lazy and use text speech and no punctuation at all that we're worried about (because that makes posts difficult to read) . Not wrongly typing the odd word or sentence.

Chrizzle 24-11-2006 05:45 PM

So your saying that with all these mistakes im about to use it makes it difficult to read it.

Thanks James, that makes me feel slightly better.

So this means it okay to start a "I'm annoyed" threads all over the place. After all I would only be voicing my opinion!

Well I get annoyed about loads of things but I don't start threads about them. For example, I get annoyed about people picking on people especially for things they can't help.

Legend 24-11-2006 08:04 PM

CC - i could take all the time in the world and come to the same conclusion, that being that i really haven't a clue. It's not like it's done on purpose.

And Andy - you can't just jump into a thread feet first and start mouthing of about people's feelings as some people have a learning difficultie and therefore can't help it and that can't be justified. Also, only some of the replies were aimed at ROB anyway, others replied to the thread and mine were directed at others.

Anyway, as somebody else said on a previous page, it's been good reading through this thread as it's good listening to other people debating about something, something meaningful on the forum.

andybigbro 24-11-2006 08:06 PM

Gos sake she only post a thred about a little thing she wanted to share get over it and stop making such a big deal about it

Well in that case I will start a thread for every little thing that annoys me on this forum! Is that the right thing to do????

I have a long list this evening!!!!!!

The point is Andy, some people took it personally, that may have been wrong in your eyes but not in mine. I'm sorry but telling me or anyone else who wants to debate this subject to "get over it" is not really fair.

Right fair enough but its only a topic and you dont even know the person so why should it bother you. She was a moderator and was telling people that she gets annoyed at the little things to try and make it a neater forum not to pick on people who have reading or writitng difficulties, i feel that she was only try to point out something, and yeah if there is something bothering you why not post it? i dont see the crime on that, do you ?

MarkWaldorf 24-11-2006 08:15 PM

She may not have involved Dyslexia but it sure does explain why people type like that, which annoys her.

Andy - are you dyslexic? Your obviously not otherwise you wouldn't be talking nonsense. It's not a 'little thing' at all. It's a pretty big thing.

It's the equivalent of somebody who has another form of learning difficuilties which affects their speech and people then stop them in the street and say 'your speech is annoying me' and then pull an angry face. They are both learning difficuilties that can't be helped so it's not a 'little thing' in the slightest.

It is a big deal so i'll therefore make a big deal about it. I'll get over it, as soon as you stop it with these kinda posts. It was actually a good 'debate' if you like with the odd exception but you seem to turn everything into an argument.

So '' right back at ya!

Ok Andy, you may be right that this thread had nothing to do with dyslexia BUT it was a thread about grammar and the way we should post of the forum. All I was trying to say is I have a problem with how I post. I cant understand what ROB meant. Thats the problem I have... i voiced it because this is a place where we can discuss! Which is exactly what most people where doing. I enjoy a good debate

Not a crime no as i'd be getting on the phone to 999 but then the forum should be called 'i'm annoyed' rather than TiBB.

There was a 'Moan Thread' so if you want a moan then go in there. How is starting all 'i'm annoyed' threads going to make the forum look 'neat'?
