"Free speech" exists. Just as much as the right of people to react to said free speech. Case in point, BB removing Ken for his (likely) offending of viewers with his vitriol.

He has the right to say what he does, as does anyone else, but he'll likely end up a sad, lonely old man because most of society understands that his opinions are outdated and offensive.

Chuff that is a horrible thing to say about the posters Dad. I think you are going overboard. Many people suffer on in silence from bullying words and racial slurs because they want to keep their job and try and earn money. I seriously think you need to tone it down chuff when it comes to posters families. Sorry

Look what the pot's calling kettle. You've even gone as far as dragging down posters family members in an attempt to prove a point which you know sod all about.

:clap1: couldn't have put it better myself!

The idea of 'free speech' is that you have the right to offend anyone,You have the right to be offended but you don't have the right to tell somebody not to offend you.It does'nt exist.

Why can't you stick to the topic and answer his question, which is a fair one.

Why did you complain if you believe so strongly in free speech?

Either you too have your limits to what you would allow to be said (maybe as long as it's not in your own backyard affecting you) or your example was a blatant lie that failed to back up your argument.

Hopefully we get a proper answer soon :fc:

I asked in a civilised manner why his Dad stood it so long if things were so bad, nothing wrong in that ,I would not stay 40 years in a job i hated, In those days jobs were easy to get, you could leave one job on a Friday and start a new one on a Monday ( as i did several times) ,don't try to make things up about what you THINK I meant or said

Yes, because back then black people had equal rights. He should've just given up his job or reported all of the abuse.

Oh wait...

Why can't you stop baiting for a row, in your little pack ?

I'll ask you again, stick to the topic. No baiting, but a discussion of the topic. Stick to it.

I can't see this thread getting anywhere on either side. If there's a lesson learnt over these past few days, it's not to protest someone's ejection. Only causes more drama (...somehow).

Difference is you wasn't in a minority. Whatever this image you have of the 60's being some fluffy land with no racism and everybody skipping down the road together doesn't exist. As a black male, it would have no doubt of been harder.

Why can't you answer a simple question? You fight so strongly for free speech (in your own words), so why fight against it?

Were you ever racially abused? I highly doubt it, there's no comparison to be had between you having multiple jobs and someone being racially abused at his job, what a ridiculous thing to try and do.

You said if he stayed that long it couldn't have been all that bad then. People are different and I like you chuff but I really really think you are getting far too personal at times. I stayed in a job I was verbally bullied in for years because I needed the money and it was difficult to get anything else. Thankfully I left it even though I should have done it years before. You said WELL IT COULDNT HAVE BEEN THAT BAD THEN. Chuff honestly Im baffled with your attitude lately but hey its freedom of speech I guess

Marsh. 12-01-2015 04:03 PM

Well, the avoidance of the question and now the whole topic altogether gives me all the answer I need now anyway.

If my daughter had called this vile little scrote black she would have been excluded, but it was ok for him to call her ? no it was not

Calling him black wouldn't have caused any drama at all.

Is your daughter from a minority group? No.
