Its not :laugh:

If you purposely miss out letters (much like I did in my sweary post example) then its purposely avoiding the swear filter that James saw fit to install.

My views on the filter are pretty well known, but I respect that James thinks it helps keep the forum a nicer place :tongue:

Since we're giving ideas and stuff, could we maybe not have it so you could turn on/off the swear filter yourself? Because I think people would be able to judge if they would be happy seeing swear words or not..

An old forum I went on, made for teenagers, they even had it :think:

This has been asked before and apparently an optional filter is incompatible with the forum. Because the filter is applied when the post is made, rather than its being read...or something like that
