It was a bit weird but I don't think he meant it in a malicious way.

Me neither. But i'm not liking Danny at the moment. He seems a bit of a twat.

same, both did nothing wrong, nothing offensive whatsoever.

Apart from calling them vulnerable in a creepy way, but okay

I think the twins would have something to say about that if they knew what he had said about them tbh

Vulnerable could of meant many things but as always especially with Male housemates the worst is always thought

but you do realise they could have meant something else, it was wrong for them to judge them but hey most people judge people way too quick. He meant nothing bad from it.

LukeB 14-05-2015 04:19 PM

This really, it was just a really strange choice of words to use in the situation. I don't think he meant it to be malicious or anything.

Did you not here the conversation?.. they were talking about how they going get the twins to get with them, by making them jealous by flirting with the other girls and then they were labelled as 'the most vulnerable' .. he might not have meant vulnerable in the general sense of the word, but it was a disgusting term of phrase to use about someone they've expressed interest in trying to pull.. so much so, that they even came up with a mini plan to try and do so.

Yes he could have meant something else, maybe he had had a conversation with the twins earlier on in the evening and was just reiterating to Christian how Sally is incredibly vulnerable to illnesses, those weak immune systems are bastards!

But with the topic of the conversation and the context of the words he used, what he said was completely inappropriate IMO, the worse of the word 'vulnerable' was gross and uncalled for.

It was a bit of an odd word to use. Desn't mean he's a rapist, although it was a bit creepy.

I don't think it was a nice thing to say though. Typical 'lad' speak, with clearly no care for the girls or their partners, speaking of them like some project to pursue. In the real world these kind of conversations usually go 'they have a boyfriend? Mate that don't mean anything, she'll still take my dick'. "Lad" talk eurgh

Typical, an attractive white male says something and it's fine but a gay woman of color does and it creates much more uproar/conversation. It makes me angry but unfortunately we live in an institutionally racist and sexist society.

Honestly, Danny just comes across unintelligent with little to no substance. What he said per say wasn't particularly offensive (Cristians bed thing was far more ridiculous) but nonetheless sexism shouldn't go unnoticed (happens way too often) so good on you for picking up on it, Hayden!

And why do you think that is? Low representation of people of color on British television? Ignorance to homosexuality? Benevolent sexism because girls 'have' to be all sweet and submissive and can't actively talk about sex in public? Bull****, it's institutional sexism and racism, no doubt about it.

This is just wrong and is why so many cry "PC rubbish" and do the causes themselves no good whatsoever.

I wonder how this will be received :hehe:

LukeB 14-05-2015 04:40 PM

I always say both males and females are bad as each other. everyone is all equal and should be treated the same from comments to actions etc. but I found nothing offensive about last nights show. Maybe Cristains bed comment but it was only day 1 and we hardly know them as much. Only time will tell

The worst of it for me was that they said they would use Chloe and Sarah to get into the Twins heads and make them jealous. Seriously sad.
