i was reading about ouija boards at like 4am the other night because i couldn't sleep and i read some theory about it being our brains that unconsciously move the planchette without us even knowing, called The Ideomotor Effect

I have telekinesis too.

Will. 19-08-2015 11:02 PM

yes I have, its very odd.

Will. 19-08-2015 11:05 PM

I couldnt tell who was moving it, or if it was even a person.

Amy Jade 19-08-2015 11:07 PM

I've done two and once nothing happened and when we did it in the woods we spoke to a guy he wouldn't say his name but he said he was a kind spirit so that never freaked me out.

I half believe but then...I dunno it's all a bit weird.

Will. 19-08-2015 11:10 PM

When I was 6 there was always a person standing in the corner of my bedroom, and it would get closer and closer to my bed, it had no features, it was like a shadow. Happened most times I woke up.

It was Probably Marsh...

I read somewhere that ouija boards can only conjure up evil spirits, and the ones that say they are nice/aren't going to harm you are just lying, but idk lmao
I've been curious about trying it for years now but I don't have anyone that would play it with me and you aren't suppose to play them alone :(

Theres a like really weird atmosphere, very odd. You just sit there asking questions, its kind of weird/intimidating.

We asked if there someone, and there was, then who they are etc.

Apparently there was a man who died there." It stopped communicated after".

But its really hard to tell if someone is moving it, it's very scary.

It feels like someones watching all of you.

armand.kay 19-08-2015 11:39 PM

Yeah that was one of the rules they got with the board (it was off ebay haha) it was ages ago but i think this was with the paper. The three biggest are

• Never use in a house.
• Never leave the board without saying goodbye
• Never joke around be serious or don't bother

The lesser rules were

• Place a siver coin on the board to ward off evil
• Never mention God
• Do not allow the contacted spirit count backwards from 9-1 or recite the alphabet Z-A
• Do not play alone
• Do not insult the contacted spirit even if they insult you
• Always use a planchette NEVER a glass as spirits can sneak inside

I read that rule the other day and wondered why it was a rule, i'll have to do some more googling
Didn't know the one about not being allowed to use a glass :worry:

So have you had any weird experiences since doing the Ouija board?

Dollface 20-08-2015 02:11 AM

Anyone done Hitori-Kakurenbo (Hide and seek by yourself) ?

Apparently the backward thing can release a spirit, similar to a glass. Another one we were told to be wary of asking the spirit to move an object in the room as 'proof' as it can allow the spirit to cross over.

If you are going to do one also I would read up, there are lots of tips on how to avoid contacting evil spirits and ways of getting rid of them if they refuse to leave your planchette/board

..this would be a great Halloween thread, we must bump this for Halloween this year...

Once there was a nice old lady who had a lovely little dog. One day, the old lady heard on the radio that a crazy murderer had escaped from jail and that she should lock all her doors and windows. So she locked every door and window in the house except one tiny one to let some air in. She thought that a murderer would never get in through there.

So that night she went to bed as usual. She knew everything was okay because when she put down her hand the dog licked it. But later in the night she heard a drip, drip, drip. She put her hand down and the dog licked it and everything was okay, so she went downstairs to check out the tap. But the tap wasn't dripping. So she went to bed again. And everything was okay. She woke up again later in the night, though, so she thought the dripping sound must be coming from the shower. She went into the bathroom, and there was her dog, dead, hanging in the shower, dripping with blood, all its intestines hanging out.

Written on the mirror was: "Humans can lick, too!" And behind her in the mirror, she saw the murderer.

Ammi 20-08-2015 07:18 AM

very stylish teenage girl grew tired of spending hours carefully "ratting" (teasing) and spraying her hair to attain an extreme beehive do. She washed her hair in sugar-water, allowing it to harden in the style she wanted. At night, she carefully wrapped a towel around it and slept on a special half-pillow designed not to disturb the hair...so a turban legend, not an urban legend...

One morning she failed to come down for breakfast. Her mother went to her room only to find her dead in bed. When the towel was removed from her head, it was discovered that she had been gnawed to death by rats (or bugs — I've heard both versions).

:nono::nono::nono:

Do not ever mess with ouija boards or indulge in rituals where you are trying to conjure up spirits. I will not go into details but believe me you do not know what danger you are putting yourselves in.

Ammi 20-08-2015 09:25 AM

..oh..(cue spooky music..)..when I looked at my emails, this was on my homepage/strange happenings...the house from Silence of the Lambs is being sold atm..so Amy Jade and Dollface..(because I know you two like this sort of horror stuff particularly..)..what do you reckon, should I buy it, do you want to live there..?.../Cal can come and protect you but he'll probably be skinned first though because females are much better at screaming so always survive longer...
