I agree Ammi he did a lot for us horror fans. Nightmare on elm street and Scream franchises are two of my favourite horror series. I was thinking about watching hills have eyes yesterday as well, another movie he made.

..I was so terrified of Freddy Krueger, someone who could get inside of your dreams/your subconscious and control your fears ...that has to be one of the greatest horror characters of all time...it's so hard when a famous person who has been such a part of all of the things you love/movie-wise, dies..you really do feel it quite deeply...did you know he was ill, Jon..?..

I love Kruger, one of the best horror villains ever created, sure he became a bit of a joke as the movies went on, but I loved the campness of him. His one liners had me in stitches. I had no idea he was ill, in a way its best he passed on because he is no longer having to suffer with the pain, and 76 is a reasonable age to pass. Still very sad though

This year losing Betsy Palmer , Christpher Lee and now Wes Craven, all horror icons :(

..it's funny how these things can often seem to go in 'phases'...in itself a bit creepy...but yeah, he has no pain anymore and the inevitable wouldn't have changed so he's not suffering anymore..I had a brain tumour quite a few years ago/benign but one of the most confusing times of my life...I never watched any of the Freddy v Jason movies, were they good as well..?..

And they only did one Freddy vs Jason which took like 15 years to make lol and it was not that great tbh. Only good things about it was Kelly Rowald being killed and the future mrs drunkerthanmoses starring it (Katharine Isabelle)
