Yeah obviously afterwards it hit me but at the time I thought nothing of it, which is why I found the episode so intriguing; we live in a world where we don't know if we're being too overprotective over strangers/children or not protective enough, and even (what looks like) a young-looking teen handing a teddy back to a child and watching her walk off can be something far more sinister than it looks. Tbf it didn't help that the lead actor looked about ten.

White Bear was great and is in the top 3 but it didn't feel like I was given the opportunity/enough time to garner sympathy for the lead, whereas SU&D was far better acted and I genuinely felt sorry/upset for the main character

San Junipero was lovely but as far as Black Mirror goes it was pretty cack. It might have worked better for me as a feature length film or something idk, Black Mirror for me always involves a big shock along with something to learn and SJ didn't really have either

Again I'm not slating it because I really did enjoy it, just not as a Black Mirror episode

Jake I agrew SU&D > White Bea

I preferred White Bear because it was much more captivating. The fact that I had no idea what was happening or why it was happening compelled me throughout. Both endings hit me like a ton of bricks, but with Shut Up and Dance I just felt annoyed by the main character's decisions (though I'm guessing that's obviously what Charlie Brooker intended so the ending would make more of an impact) and I didn't care for the other guy at all.

White Bear was a far cleverer concept too. I feel like the scenario that was set-up in Shut Up and Dance had been done quite a few times before. It reminded of that television film, Cyberbully, straight away. Not so much a bad thing, but I felt White Bear's plot was more intriguing. tbh, I didn't really know if I liked either of them straight after watching the episodes because they're both a bit too grim for my liking. Though, in hindsight I think I can appreciate the depth of thought that was put into White Bear.

SUAD is far superior to White Bear, might be saying this because my whole hosue watched SUAD and then White Bear, we were all completely shocked and moved by SUAD that we didn't know what to do. So we decided to watch another episode to forget about it, and so we watched 'White Bear', even after watching that episode all we could think about was SUAD, it was far more powerful, and maybe by watching it prior to 'White Bear', made 'White Bear' seem more weak/tame - but SUAD pulled at heart strings and the character development was FAR better, and the twist was not seen at all - whereas 'White Bear' some people in the room predicted what was occurring, and many said the second half of the episode got a bit repetitive.

100 percent - the acting in White Bear also just wasn't as good as in SUAD

see, we all thought that of 'White Bear' and not SUAD - I suppose it's subjective:shrug:

Yeah, I'd say that's one of the things that stands out from SU&D for me too, the acting was excellent.

Lenora Crichlow could never.

The cast for the new series includes Jesse Plemons (Fargo), Rosemarie Dewitt (La La Land), Andrea Riseborough (Birdman), Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Maxine Peake (The Theory Of Everything), and Douglas Hodge (The Night Manager), Deadline reports. Jodie Foster directs the first episode.
no HUGE name but Jodie Foster directing should be good. They're all people I recognise by face though.

(and yes you can tell this is an American quote since Maxine Peake is quoted as some minor film role rather than, um, Shameless or Dinnerladies)
