Saying that I don't believe all Muslims should be accountable for the actions of a few isn't the same as saying that I agree with the practices of the few in question and it's got absolutely nothing to do with you essentially branding travelers as sexist bigots and that that's okay because it's 'part of their culture.'

You must be quite desperate to get one over on me to make such a silly leap of logic.

Ive no idea why you think I need to get one over on you :umm2: my point still stands whether you dismiss it or not.

The thing about some gypsies is, they think of themselves strict Catholics and just like many Christians throughout Europe and indeed the world, they follow the bible code that states a woman's use is to produce male offspring and cater to the men in their lives.

We don't have to go back more than a seventy or so years in this country to see how women were expected to accept their lot and we can still see this in the poorer or more rural parts of Europe, especially Eastern Europe where the older women still cover their hair and still consider their husband to be the boss.

If gypsies lived like Quakers, we would totally accept their different ways and think them quaint but a lot don't; the gypsies society we hate are the ones who live in no go areas, even for the police. Crime is rife, fighting is an expected part of growing up for the men folk and the single women, at least on that programme seemed to dress and dance provocatively, even though they are virgins. All of this gives out confusing messages to us none gypsies. How can they be strict Catholics if they have such little regard for law and order?.

The answer is, many gypsies have held onto parts of their religion that suits them and disregarded other parts of it that don't. What we see as female repression, they see as the will of God, just like Muslim women. Its not about tradition, its about religion, at least for them.

Except it doesn't.

What's the link between holding an entire group of people accountable for the actions of a few to thinking that Tyson Fury is a dick? I'm consistent since I'm not blaming him being a **** human being on the fact that he's a traveler. I don't think his behavior is indicative of all travelers. I just think he's a dick.

 I actually believe that the more offensive and ridiculous of Fury's extreme views were ingrained in him long before he took up boxing LetMeIn.

Tyson has said that he doesn't hate anyone as that would be against his Christian beliefs and his wife has confirmed that some of the stuff he says makes her cringe so storm in a teacup over for now.

to be fair to Fury his views are the exact same as every Iman and every Catholic Priest in the UK

this fury claims to be born again, but Jesus NEVER condemned homosexuality....One of the few shall we say ambiguous speeches included..“Not everyone can accept this teaching, but only those to whom it is given. For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can.” (Matthew 19:11-12)

Most theologists interpret this as Jesus accepting some men are born different

er no

Jesus is saying that celibacy may well be an option for some of his followers.

Crimson Dynamo 11-12-2015 02:04 PM

maybe Fury is using the slightly less ambiguous passage from Leviticus?

"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."

I would wager he is channelling the OT

There are a few theologians who actually think the J-man dabbled a bit himself. Tromboning, most likely.

Closed for cleaning. I may or may not reopen but when I do get round to cleaning this there will be infractions and bans being handed out. We have given enough warnings in this section lately.
