Thanks for that Luke, I wasn't aware.

You're all here making games out of the deaths of actual people (real people no way omg) when it's still raw and their families are probably going through a really rough time, how can you be so blind to think that this is actually an OK thing to do? I don't care how long it's been going on for, or how new a user I am, please don't discredit me for voicing my opinion.

:omgno: what I didn't say anything

I live for DeathList

the irony of that is incredible also

Ammi 12-01-2016 06:35 AM

..I do get that maybe some would be offended by this but it's really not done with any kind of 'hate' or wishing dead at all...I guess we're a forum that is much about celebrities through reality and TV series and I would say that in their lives, many more things we say could be offensive when we really don't like them at all..they could find them offensive/their families could etc...but we say them anyway because celebrities and their lives in general are 'our thing'/a large part of the forum...this though is done in a balance to the sadness of someone dying, it's not hateful in any way..and I think personally at times of great sadness and loss, sometimes you need that too...you need that balance...if a loved one of a celebrity who had died was looking at the internet and was to take offence I think it would be from cruel things from social sites..Facebook, Twitter etc...those are the things that could really hurt but this I don't see as cruel at all and I doubt it would add to any of their grief or offend...Lordy Lord, some of the things said at my dad's funeral by his friends/their stories ...well, we needed those lighter moments, no matter how cringy..we so needed them...

MB. 12-01-2016 06:42 AM

Scalp em Ammi

(personally I think if you spend your whole life frightened of an inevitability without once being able to laugh in the face of it a little then what's the point?)

I think all funerals have their lighter sides, laughing and remembering is part of the grieving process, not sure I would be over the moon if randoms were taking bets on my demise by my deathbed  that said this thread doesn't bother me and I do think of it when a celeb passes on :D:

Amy Jade 12-01-2016 07:43 AM

As somebody who takes part in this game but previously thought it was a little odd I understand people like Ashley being a bit shocked by it but nobody posts their lists and hopes all those in it will die (Apart from say Ian Brady, he can die tbh) - I certainly hope they don't anyway but I don't see the problem with predicting these sorts of things - the celebrities and their family are very unlikely to ever see and if they did they won't see anyone on here celebrating somebody's death as far as I can remember.
