I really hope there's no theme this year, and this gives me hope :worry:

I think the Emma and Rylan BB15/BB16/CBB16 promos made the show look tacky. It is tacky but to attract viewers it's not what they want. I think the eye, theme and Marcus will make people more likely to know its Big Brother that is being advertised than a 40 second clip of Emma and Rylan talking.

The CBB16 one was truly abominable, but I think the BB15 and BB16 ones were alright, but like you say, didn't really get across very well that it was BB that was being advertised.

I liked the BB15 for what it was but the BB16 was just dull, boring and didn't make any sense. Emma wrote things on a blackboard and Rylan threw stuff off a desk and rambled on about 'It's not possible...but its the same!' Or whatever :worry:

I liked BB15's but the CBB16 one was awful (and then the quality of the series themselves were the exact opposite :laugh:). But yeah, generally I'd prefer trailers without people in them.

BB14's one was the only one that worked well with Emma/some sort of presenter in it.

But perched for the simplistic C4-esque promos with just the eye and BB music in the background <33

Welp at us expecting a C4 esque trailer when we could end up with a Love Island esque one with models pretending to be housemates running towards the house or something.

Timebomb's mess of an advert was an abomination. Looking back it pretty much foreshadowed what a mess of a series BB16 would soon become

It really was a bad advert. Maybe that's why it was only shown on TV like twice in the run up to the series.

CBB16's was way worse. Definitely the worst trailer ever.

I'd love it if they do something simple and original this year, like how they located the eyes on loads of landmarks in the run up to BB4.

BB15's was the hunger games one.
CBB14's was clips of old CBBs with the theme in the background.
CBB15's was Emma speaking about the series like a fairytale
BB16's was idek just Emma and Rylan rambling on about how time had been destroyed or something
CBB16's was Emma and Rylan pretending to be posh whilst some American guy rambled on about the smack down between UK and USA
CBB17's was just the eye spinning, Marcus and the theme tune

I've not seen BB13 but I loved the Olympics themed trailer. And When Bruv Takes Over.

I'd say I wouldn't mind ex housemates again like the CBB8 trailer but they'd probably like get White Dee dancing to Abba or something so

I think I'm in the minority of people who liked the CBB16 trailer :laugh:. The intentional tackiness of it made me love it - plus it fit the theme well. It's definitely not the worst trailer - that would be CBB8's.

The best one on Channel 5 has to be the BB14 one - Emma's first appearance and the build up with the #WhatsTheSecret eye flashes made it feel like a classic :love:
