I reckon Maeve will kill him as soon as he's done everything she wants since she had her loyalty lowered :worry:

Episode 7 is being hyped up on Twitter by the cast and HBO as a big one so my already high expectations are even higher now :spin:

...ughhh Lostie, hold me...I finally got around to watching a catch up of this week's episode last night because I haven't had time to keep up this week...but I fell asleep and only saw a small bit......Maeve though, I'm quite falling in love with her, I loved her storyline this week../well the bit I saw anyway...I also love how they're showing balance to the man in black's character and also was that a whole episode without Kenny getting killed or did I miss that..?..and the reverse contrast to Anthony Hopkins character in that he felt a bit creepy../a bit darker...I'll have to try to do a catch up again before the next episode...

Yeah I'm so into Maeve's whole story, such a good character

I just watched episode 7

Spoiler:

Really cool to have the Bernard theory confirmed, the clues were there so I was hoping they'd do it. Ford having him murder Theresa though :omgno: I've read a theory that Ford will have a robot version of Theresa created (perhaps the one that was being made during that scene) to cover up her death. I'd like this since it would keep Sidse Babett Knudsen around (and the idea of Ford having people killed and secretly replacing them with robot clones is terrifying Body Snatcher levels of sinister so I'd love it ). Also I haven't seen Futureworld but I believe that's part of the plot so it would be a cool reference to the lesser-known sequel

Clementine being lobotomized  I hope she isn't gone for good :worry:

Maeve slamming the piano shut was such a brilliant little moment in reflecting how she's truly done with living out that same loop. I can't wait for the Maevolution :flutter: :clap1:

Ford is so sinister at this point but I absolutely love him, such a compelling character. I've had a bad feeling all season that he'll die in the finale just because I'm not sure how long Anthony Hopkins will want to stick around in a continuing TV series in the event that it gets a second season but I really hope not.

Although

Still, I'll take that over cancellation

Have you been watching, Jonathan?

Firewire 14-11-2016 06:20 PM

Not yet but I've downloaded them all

Just haven't had a chance to sit down and watch

I love Barnard.

..(I didn't read your spoiler yet Lostie...but that whole walk through with Maeve showed the kind of 'changing places' really of the hosts and the creators...you could see emotion in Maeve, she's showing sadness and she's showing feeling yet she is incapable because she's the artificial and the emotionless..?..an we've seen the creators through this just cutting through what looks like real human flesh and stripping off clothing that others have tried to 'cover modesty' and becoming emotionlessly robotic about those who look in every way human.../I mean with that type of AI advancement and looking in every way human, we would also associate human to them as well in so many ways...of for instance, of this doesn't feel right to be cutting into these bodies and brains etc...

Yeah me too. He was the only one having flash backs and "calls to a wife" like the hosts

What bothered me was Ford had an English accent as a kid, he now has a Welsh accent but his dad has a Scottish accent.

Also, I want to point out Maeve is an Irish name :hee:

Yeah that's a great analogy tbh, and it's a great way of really making you root for the Hosts. Even the ones who play a more villainous role in the park, I still feel for them because they're only doing what they're being made to do rather than being malicious by choice like a lot of the humans are.

I always thought Ford's accent was English (I know Anthony Hopkins is Welsh but I thought he was doing an English accent in this)

..yeah, you can't dislike them really because they're programmed in their actions but it's interesting how it's starting to turn and how they're starting to have 'memories' and how they're attaching and associating human emotion with those memories, like sadness and loss etc...in contrast to very little emotion being shown with the creators...that scene where he covered her up showed a respect and emotion but then it was just stripped away very coldly and more 'robotic' being starting to be shown by the creators as they're starting to become each other and the opposite of what is meant to be, I think...do you think also Lostie that it has a touch of The Truman Show with it as well...it's really reminding me a lot of that as well and one of my favourite movies of all time...

I always thought Ford's accent was English (I know Anthony Hopkins is Welsh but I thought he was doing an English accent in this)

Oh Anthony can't hide his Welshness too well then

I've only seen bits and pieces of The Truman Show but from what I know of it, it definitely seems reminiscent for sure with people unknowingly living out a fiction and being watched at all times. I believe Ed Harris was in that movie too so that's a nice little crossover

Lostie! 16-11-2016 09:25 PM

This little video they released with the Season 2 renewal is so odd  :worry:

The Truman Show is an absolute must see IMO, get it downloaded :joker:. It's one that I always assume everyone must have seen. Like when I found out last year that my wife (who I have been with nearly a decade) had never seen The Goonies :worry:. It's like I didn't know her at all.

Lostie! 16-11-2016 10:22 PM

*hasn't seen The Goonies either*

Definitely will watch The Truman Show in full sometime though, the whole concept is something I'd probably love.

Life In The Fast Lane

The year break is a shame but I shouldn't be surprised, the pilot was filmed 2 years ago :joker:

If they want to take the extra time to make the show as good as possible then it's worth it I suppose, a return in 2 years is better than none at all

Niamh. 18-11-2016 08:45 AM

Was that the last episode just gone? :o
