Chuff, why are you behaving like this is some sort of 'fictional story' people should be laughing at, I first hand experienced it and it was possibly the most traumatic event I've been through in my life.

Glad you're safe, Daniel. How close where you to the actual incident? It must be absolutely insane to be involved in a situation like that

There was the promenade, a lane, a streak of path to cross, another lane and then a row of bars. I was sat outside the row of the bars and the lorry drove down the people in the first lane. Luckily, when I saw everyone running I realised what was happening so I ran inside the bar and upstairs so I didn't see nor hear anything.

Ninastar 15-07-2016 02:27 PM

Jesus Christ, I can't even imagine how scary that would be. I hope you didnt see/hear anything too emotionally scarring. I genuinely wouldn't wish that on anyone.

"Bastille Day killer Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel was an 'unlikely jihadist' who flouted every rule of Islam,"

I do not agree , he is ideal for Isis and
other Terror groups
to hire and trick,
Isis have lost ground in Iraq
this is type of attack is all they have left,

Did you see any bodies? That would scar me.

Horrific.

Captain.Remy 15-07-2016 05:47 PM

It happened 200kms away from my city and it is just awful.
My sister, her husband and two kids live there and were in the main street watching the fireworks for Bastille Day where the truck ran into people. They are horrified, my niece and nephew are feeling awful. They ran everywhere, people where panicked and lost.
The whole France is just tired of it. The atmosphere is dreadful and sad.

Capt Remy Sir
thanks for your Return.

Absolutely devastating....no words other than that. RIP to those who lost their lives and thoughts to all the families

Liberty4eva 15-07-2016 06:06 PM

If the gun-hating left were consistent they would be calling for the ban of all trucks by about now. Especially since more were killed in Nice than Orlando.

Yes if only he had followed all the rules..

Its the very fact he was brainwashed into thinking there was some God who would reward him is why he bloody did it

If the far right were consistent they would be calling for all citizens to carry trucks around with them in the event of something like this happening

You can't argue with facts  There are so many eyewitnesses and videos :umm2:

Shouldn't you be paying condolence to the 80+ that have died rather than scouting for conspiracy theories not even 24 hours since the attack?

The dead are dead its those left behind that need condolences

Liberty4eva 15-07-2016 06:32 PM

First thing France needs to do is withdraw from the EU then stop the migrants from coming and then deport those that already are there. This is what every rational person should be thinking right now but, sigh, political correctness.

MB. 15-07-2016 06:33 PM

"Deport every migrant in a country" isn't a rational thought, regardless of political correctness

arista 15-07-2016 06:34 PM

Vile: Pro-ISIS groups have begun
celebrating the Nice attack
which has left at least 77 people dead
and more than 50 injured - but the
terror group is yet to officially
claim responsibility.

This is becoming a question of national survival. As a western culture do you want to survive or not? In a generation or two France and much of the rest of Europe will be Islamic countries unless they start doing stuff about it now. Sad but true.

Crimson Dynamo 15-07-2016 06:52 PM

to keep a perspective

there are 66,000,000 people in France

terrorists have killed under 300 in the last say 13 years

that is 0.0000045% of the population

No help to those that died but its worth pointing out

Its not the Blitz

What are you on about?
Let's talk about America's politics and current situation first and then talk about Europe please.

France has always been generous and kind towards foreign people. Just because you might soon enough have a President who would rather build a wall between you and Mexicans than welcoming people does not mean everyone must do the same.

We are standing up for what we believe in and must welcome anyone who feels like it to our country. This is what being brave and honorable is.
Being a coward is what Trump is saying. You would rather keep a stable peaceful country and be selfish at the same time. That is extremely selfish.
There are refugees out there who are not terrosists in the slightest and who have left their home and family members behind. Do you even think about them?
You feel threatened about them because of what? Their different skin tone? Language? Religion? Way of eating?

So yeah, let us all be selfish and keep going with our so called peace and watch people get killed in their country..... This is not the French way. Never has, never will.

I'm over this bulls*it and people giving dumb ass life lessons. Love has and always will overcome evil. Point, blank, and period. I'm French and proud of what is stands up to and represents.
