I find it offensive that Big Brother did not intervene and allow bear to eat the disgusting snack. BB should practice what they preach and not be extremely offensive to viewers.

One of the key points here actually is that BB are in TOTAL control of what is shown. Biggins didn't broadcast anything. They chose to broadcast his remarks. So if the bisexuals are offended then it is BB who offended them.

If people are dumb enough to use a word ending with "Phobia" to mean "prejudice against" then that is up to them. I won't recognise the word in that context. To me it means fear of gays.

Actually I do sometimes describe things and myself as gay to mean happy. Why should such a positive word be hijacked for purely political reasons.

It isn't nitpicking. Language is very important.

If we were to take your very simplistic view on language, then using words like the N word would not be punishable by law.
