The main priority of this season is probably to get a few more potential All Stars in the mix. A lot of these women seem to have pretty big potential as either gameplayers, entertainers, or both (the men as well but there's only 5 and they don't stand out as All Star-caliber as much from first impressions aside from possibly Shane?).

And I'm sure there will be at least some people on here that disagree with this but I think at the moment it's pretty clear that there are way more realistic male houseguests for an All Stars season than there are female. Especially if they don't want too many 3rd & 4th time returnees. So it makes sense that on this cast they have 7 females to 5 males and a returning male that would've never been chosen for All Stars. They're starting to get a lot more legit options now (Paul & Nicole are close to locks after this season IMO and last season definitely had a few that are likely to return). So if certain people can't do it they'll be alright with replacements. This season will help that even more especially on the female side I think.

They gave the house a fresh layer of paint after all. It's kinda like a winter CBB house

LukeB 28-09-2016 02:34 PM

What time does this start?

Firewire 28-09-2016 02:52 PM

3am I think

Ross. 28-09-2016 04:03 PM

Where will episodes get uploaded

BBfanUSA 28-09-2016 04:03 PM

10 PM ET here actually. (So 4 AM I think)

They'll be showing the HGs moving in live

Firewire 28-09-2016 04:04 PM

East is 5 hours behind UK, so it's 3am.

JerseyWins 28-09-2016 04:06 PM

Anyone know where this might be showing live?

zakman440 28-09-2016 04:37 PM

The house is very nice - much better than the BB18 house and I'd say a better job than we did with the summer CBB house.

I've been comparing it to a winter CBB house since it has a fall theme to it.

Only room they haven't shown is the anime/japanese open bedroom

I'll be interested to see how they try and explain why the bathroom still has a ****ing beach theme then

EspeonBB 28-09-2016 06:31 PM

Come through Jozea!

Headie 28-09-2016 07:32 PM

Yeah

I think there's only one HL a week :worry:

Firewire 28-09-2016 07:36 PM

There's daily recaps I think but only one proper highlight show a week

Jack_ 28-09-2016 07:38 PM

The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Julie:

And once again it was all going well until I got to this bit

Would you want to see two seasons of the broadcast version again though?

No. One of the things that is synonymous with Big Brother is the summer. There's just a different mentality we all have during the summer months. And also I feel like the reasons Big Brother stays popular is we get a crop of new fans every summer. Kids are home, there's no school, they can't drive yet, they check out this new show they've never seen, they're online a lot whereas throughout the year kids are in session, there's homework. And meeting the three nights of real estate a week, that's tough.
Speaks volumes about the state of the show these days. Big Brother isn't a ****ing kids programme, stop pandering to them

LukeB 28-09-2016 07:42 PM

Hopefully the launch is an episode and online somewhere. I can't be bothered to stay up to watch it at 3am. I need sleep

Headie 28-09-2016 07:44 PM

So will the launch be an episode then?

Converted the schedule into UK times - it'll be tricky to watch live as there's a *lot* of unsocial hours involved.

Schedule to remind people.

What are your predictions this year? It's different this time because America is voting.

Grodner: It's interesting. We were just talking about that before. I think Alex has a really good shot.

Meehan: Alex and Shane.

Grodner: Alex and Shane we hope will be popular. I mean not hope, we assume they will be because they're nice
