Yup.

My doctor told me not to waste money on them or cough bottles

I have a little head cold. It's not making me suffer too much, it's just inconvenient.

What's Asda got to do with it? :joker:

Make your own hot water and lemon and take a paracetamol. Qualified doctors advise that Lemsip makes NO difference.

no, its an acceptable form of it rather than try to swallow 2 pills that have been coated in NASA grade throat sticking glue

what the f is up with paracetamol that they cant be like ibuprofen in the oral swallow market??

anyhoo day 3 and i feel better, even tho i went to be at 4 and got up at 9. I dont feel ill i just have a hacking cough and a sore throat.

Te TL is reporting lots of her sneezing at work and is looking to blame me:worry: and when i said better to get it now than Christmas she did not appreciate my logic

Liquid night nurse is the way to go.

Ask for paracetamol tablets NOT capsules.
Capsules of any drug can stick in your throat and start dissolving there.
Another way is to chase them with a bite to eat like an apple, to make them go down

So they say. Elevates the risk of a heart attack.
But then again you have to die of something so

I take it too

I've got another one now! Got over the last one which I think was viral - then the day before yesterday I was caught in a rainstorm in town (it was freezing/icy anyway) and am now full of it again! Coughing and spluttering, sneezing, hot and cold etc. Blergh!

JerseyWins 14-12-2019 08:24 PM

Finally not sick when I've noticed this thread. *it's probably coming* :worry:

Crimson Dynamo 14-12-2019 08:29 PM

I'm still IL but on the mend

Jessica. 23-10-2023 02:44 PM

Bump

I am just getting over being in bed for days with covid. Anyone else ill?

Redway 23-10-2023 02:46 PM

I have to agree with what was said earlier this page re. tablets >> capsules. Capsules definitely are more liable to get stuck in your throat and generally they just don’t go down as well.

I had a bit of something last week but I’m mostly over it now. Thanks to CBD, Ibuprofen and greens.

Yeah, I've had plenty times where I almost felt like I had a chemical burn in my throat from a capsule getting stuck there, it's horrendous.

Niamh. 23-10-2023 02:49 PM

I was going on a very long time without anything but my partner brought covid home from work and of course I caught it. I was in a bad way until yesterday evening with the weakness, sore throat and congestion. I have a bit more energy now but still needing naps and the congestion is still at an uncomfortable level.

Well all the way over here in Canada I too have had Covid for the past three days. 2nd time around... it is as unfun as it was the first time.
