What?... He was't leader then

*facepalm*

Neither is Corbyn. Blair was a good orator, look how that worked out. There are many skills that are required - speaking is only one of them.

Kizzy 31-05-2017 07:41 PM

It's her face it does weird things when she's trying to appear genuine... it's really rather disturbing.
You can also tell she's lying from her tone for a tory politician she's a **** liar... :idc:

Never trust a man who keeps blinking when he speaks. Interesting to know what a behaviourist makes of that. I think it would suggest a lack of openness and honesty.

MB. 31-05-2017 07:50 PM

I too would rather a leader who never blinks

smudgie 31-05-2017 07:52 PM

Ok, how many of the audience told porkies and said they were voting Tory or undecided.
Like Tories would cheer Corbyn saying how many supporters his party have, same as why would the undecided.
Mockery:fist:

Proud to be a believer in Corbyn and the leadership he has shown this Campaign.

DemolitionRed 31-05-2017 08:08 PM

Well that went well. For everyone except the Rudd that is!

Withano 31-05-2017 08:08 PM

Tbf, excessive blinking is one of the best anti-labour arguments I've seen on here

Me too. He makes me proud to be British.

Idk i'd say the Green lady was a stand out for me.She did well.Farron also spoke well imo.
Corbyn did just ok imo.Did'nt quite take his chance to show himself maybe.
Rudd for me was far more impressive on Marr the other day.She held her own but was lacklustre from previous performances. She was better than May would've been.

You could be right, and that would be my second typo of the day.

Caroline Lucas always performs well in debates.
Nuttall was awful, Robertson was okay,Farron closing line was his best,' Theresa May wouldn't give that audience her time so they shouldn't give her theirs '.
I really like Leanne Wood, could listen to her voice for hours.
Amber Rudd was up against it and deservedly so,she's awful.
Jeremy Corbyn handled things competently and was a bit more combative which was good to see.

In fairness to Rudd, her farther died less than 48 hours before she was on air. She should never of stood in as the sacrificial lamb.

She wanted to do it as she said her father would have wanted her to,but kudos to her for holding it together.

I agree with most of what you've said but I didn't think Corbyn was at his best last night. He looked tense and tired. Farron is a very fluent talker and he really did give the Tories a bashing.

'The magic money tree' and that comment about Labour being profligate was a kick under the belt though. If we want to talk about magic money trees, perhaps we should start in the Bahamas. https://www.theguardian.com/business...-in-tax-havens

I didn't know that.
Fair play to her.Although you'd think May might've gone in and done it considering the circumstances
