This is so problematic, you are basically saying 'it's okay for me to generalise like this because one black person on BBOTS thinks it too!'

Why shouldn't she have brought it up? It was fine for Rebecca to mention the R-word a few days ago but Hannah and Deborah can't do so without damnation and accusations of the race card? You are an example of what's wrong with society and why issues of race will never be resolved while attitudes like yours exist. Too many white people are quick to shut down discussions of race unless it's on their terms.

This is the double standard Hannah was talking about tom can have tantrums where he throws things, Joe can get up in people's faces and demand respect, kieran can throw threats at people and sukhvider can blow up on people daily but the girls get into one argument and Rebecca want to call them aggressive?

Same with bear.

Rebecca was on the receiving end.If she saw aggression then should she not be allowed to say anything?

Kieran and Chanelle got off much more lightly with their Jigsaw vs Rocky showdown than Deborah and Hannah have tonight by Rebecca racially stereotyping them.

what a load of tosh, if many peoples attitudes were like mine no one would see colour so please don't patronise me, if you knew me personally you wouldn't be saying this about me. What is wrong with society is black people as well as white people seeing colour. I saw the man on BBots colour because he talked about it!

Withano 14-06-2017 10:42 PM

I actually watched this and thought she was making a cheap shot to get her voice heard, but when people on tibb are calling hms like Makosi aggressive?? Maybe she has a point....

And then there are a hell of a lot of examples of aggressive white people getting away with a hell of a lot. Does make ya think.

Was she aggressive? Somewhat. Have other hms been more aggressive recently and not got called any names of the sort. Yep. Does this make the race card justifiable? Probably yeh.

Rebecca was saying it before Deborah was even getting angry.

Rebecca's playing the Jale/Jason Burill game, play victim, and I hope it doesn't work.

I still can't get over when Ife Kuku got hated for raising her voice one time. Denying the negative bias towards black women in BB internationally is ignorant.

[QUOTE=Mystic Mock;9361252]People might not like hearing it but Hannah and Deborah were being called aggressive because they're black.

She was not being called aggressive BECAUSE she is black...she was being called it because she WAS being aggressive. Why did she have to bring her skin colour into it?

People who say 'I don't see colour' are part of the problem. They aren't progressive by saying so, they are just trying to ignore the problem. Saying 'I don't see colour' doesn't make the issue of imbalance of perception between races disappear.

no I'm not saying tibb I'm saying the people in the house. Hannah was called aggressive by kayleigh before this argument even happened

Northern Monkey 14-06-2017 10:47 PM

So I'm still in the dark.

Why is this a stereotype?

Aggressive imo is getting up in someone's face like Darnell did to Rachel Rice in BB9 during the time when the house was split in half, and Dale had to come to her defense of all people because Darnell was squaring upto her.

Then we have what happened when Chanelle did knock Kieran's hat off his head, and spitting at him, that's aggressive. Kieran also saying that he'd knock her out if she was a guy is also aggressive.

Deborah and Hannah raising their voices when being provoked is not aggressive imo, otherwise 99.99% of the planet are aggressive if that's the case.

Hannah in particular doesn't come off as aggressive to me, she's awkward in general, but not aggressive and I don't even like Hannah very much, but that is a harsh claim.

so you rather people 'see'colour then and not people? hmmmmm, when I say see colour I mean I don't think anything if I see a black, brown, white or yellow person, I just listen to a person ....you keep trying twist what I'm saying, thats not good
