Barely, they released a trailer less than a week before it started :skull:

My mum didn't even know civilian BBUK was back until she saw me watching the CBB launch and she thought that was it. She literally missed a whole series without a clue :skull:

I mean we can be sarcastic and pretend they don't favour CBB but eh

I'm happy because when civilian goes I want this gone too, they deserve everything they get for their shambolic treatment of the franchise

Doesn't work like that, they come as a package deal. So if CBB continues to have ****e ratings then they both get axed, if the ratings pick up then they'll both be renewed.

Nobody actually knows that for sure, we certainly all hope so but we're not privy to the exact stipulations of the contract

I know Endemol were quoted as saying it's a package deal when C5 initially only expressed interest in buying the rights to CBB in 2011 but a lot has changed since then. I'd like them to stand their ground but if C5 were willing to pay almost as much just to keep CBB why would they refuse?

My issue has always been with the idea that they could axe civilian and keep this overexposed crap running, so to see it also flopping is delightful

Jamesy 06-08-2017 05:32 PM

If no one is willing to buy both as a package either, Endemol may compromise with a CBB only deal in order to keep the franchise going in the UK.

Last night's rating doesn't surprise me, after nights of 9pm showings, 10:30pm is ridicolous. I know a few people that didn't bother with last nights show because of the scheduling.

Well it did only start 3 days after bb18 tbf and I saw the trailers a week before. It's because of the athlete **** hitting like 9 million nightly which has dented it so bad. What im pissed off about is I try to catch up on last night on the official app or the website and it's not there plus it was advertised at a wrong time. Are these people running the show dumb or trying to run it into the ground?

I think it'll be a similar rating for tonight, there's hardly anyone in the #CBB tag on twitter :skull:

Greg! 07-08-2017 09:42 AM

Celebrity Big Brother: 1.14m (5.2%)

According to digital spy

supertv247 07-08-2017 09:43 AM

Celebrity Big Brother 1.14 million including +1
On par with CBB16s same episode, and worth noting that it was against Poldark on ITV with 5 million, the Atletics with over 7 million, and Channel 4 had 3.5 million with Diana

RichardG 07-08-2017 10:01 AM

not good

Samm 07-08-2017 11:02 AM

rip to ha

DouglasS 07-08-2017 11:09 AM

Lol at people thinking the CBB version would beat Love Islands average of 2.5M

Week 1 of Love Island averaged 1.9, don't speak too soon :smug: but no I don't think anybody genuinely thought that

Hmm. It was up against quite a lot last night so it's not THAT bad considering but the next few days are critical :/

LukeB 07-08-2017 12:31 PM

R.i.p tibb

Maxxie. 07-08-2017 02:41 PM

I wouldn't mind having just CBB tbh. Although cbb has been promoted a little bit, I see it on peope's stories on snapchat. I see social media articles about it and at least the series is actually good so the ratings have room to pick up.
