It's horrible to watch :(

I only started watching EE in like 06/07 properly (because before that obviously I was too young) but Diederick Santer's EE was my favourite show when I was younger and is soooo nostalgic for me when I look back. It's never been the same show for me since he left.

Daniel-X 07-09-2017 11:51 PM

I really should start getting into ED or something. HO has become a farce (I used to really enjoy that too) and CS (even tho I watch it for some bizarre reason) has been and always will be stale besides the odd storyline and character.

Marsh. 07-09-2017 11:52 PM

Emmerdale was great from like 2012 - 2016 but I think that's entered a bad era now.

Daniel-X 07-09-2017 11:55 PM

All I ever hear about Emmerdale is praise so I'm surprised about that. I've just never got into it, probably because my mum doesn't watch it whereas she watches EE and Corrie and none of my friends (bar a few) watch it whereas most watch Hollyoaks.

I try now and again to get in Emmerdale, it's quite difficult not knowing who everyone is.

I enjoy hollyoaks as like you said Daniel slot of people our age watch it.

I've not watched HO properly in agesss though, 2013-14 I used to watch it every single night whereas I reckon I could count on both hands how many episodes I've watched this year. They need to axe BK, he's running the show into the ground just like he did with EE.

Daniel-X 08-09-2017 12:12 AM

I git back into HO late last year too actually because of Joanne, then they wrote her out the show and my interest dwindled again almost inmediatley.

Marsh. 08-09-2017 12:39 AM

I've dipped into Hollyoaks less and less over the years. To the point where I haven't seen a full episode in 3 years. Lol.

I don't recognise like 70% of the cast these days.

Wizard. 08-09-2017 12:42 AM

I do enjoy Coronation Street, it does have that sense of humour that no other soap seems to have grasped yet. Also living in Manchester and it being nearby helps, but EE was the soap I always watched growing up.

The title

They killed Ronnie, they better not have killed off Jane too :worry:

Yup. It's been on a steady decline since 2002 but it's had late Brookie vibes this whole decade.

Marsh. 08-09-2017 01:52 PM

I think up until 2010 it was quite consistent. Not perfect but still eastenders. This last two years especially is actually worse than Kirkwood imo.

Ashley. 08-09-2017 02:21 PM

I didn't watch the show after Kirkwood took over but I dipped in and out, and I could easily say that Kirkwood was a much better producer. His character development was as awful as SOC's but at least he could produce a decent storyline or two during his run.

I know who dies

LukeB 08-09-2017 02:33 PM

I only watch Eastenders,Emmerdale and Hollyoaks

i tried to get into corrie but it's really boring :umm2:

Emmerdale is still great
Eastenders is getting a bit better (this week has been great)
Hollyoaks is good atm

Ross. 08-09-2017 02:47 PM

I only watch EastEnders regularly now

Dip in and out of Emmerdale and Corrie when I'm interested in a story

Haven't watched Hollyoaks for years, probably wouldn't know anyone now

The only good bit of this past week was Karen's quick dodge when she assumed the police were gunning for her at the window.
