YOU ACTUALLY VOTED?

Sam 13-05-2007 08:56 AM

lol, Who actually votes in eurovision?

MarkWaldorf 13-05-2007 08:59 AM

I know lmao. That's embarrassing.

Some do! This year’s Eurovision really disappointed me anyway, I hope it gets better :bored:… it’s just one of those things I always tune in to!

As for the results this year, based on performances I’d rather Ukraine or even Russia won instead of Serbia. Russia seems to do well every year, they have good songs! Anyway, t’s just so predictable who’ll vote who – Terry Wogan gets it spot on most of the time.…

The UK wasn’t actually too bad this year, (well it was, but it screamed Eurovision), and was cheesy, plus better than some other countries yet still didn’t manage to get the votes. I guess we need a different approach for upcoming contests.

MarkWaldorf 13-05-2007 09:13 AM

LOL.

What's your favourite Eurovision entry ever? Mine's the Greece one, which won a few years back. I love Javine's aswell.

Sam 13-05-2007 09:13 AM

Exactly, we should of sent Cyndi, they love a good ballad

Javine was good. Excellent in fact, it was an entry which if it was based on a fair competition should have won

Bells 13-05-2007 09:14 AM

There’s a few. But although some hated it – mine’s gotta be Lordi’s last year… HARD! ROCK! HALLELUJAH! Pmsl, it was just so unexpected and outrageous…

Yeah, but she didn't sing it well on the night. Which was where she went wrong.

Sam 13-05-2007 09:15 AM

I think in the past few years Eurovision has turned into a bit of a joke, like Terry says, people just vote for their neigbours, its just a popularity contest, and we just happen to be hugely unpopular, we could send the best artist over and we still wouldnt stand a chance

Haha yeah. It was great.
Was that a man or a woman though?

Sam 13-05-2007 09:18 AM

If we had done what Ukraine had done we would have got 0 points. People would have laughed at us

Bells 13-05-2007 09:18 AM

Well that's it, I thought 'what the...' for Lordi last year but loved it.
Same for Ukraine this year I guess!

Dunno, but as terry said it was very much like Dame Edna, but it reminded me more of the face of Mrs Doubtfire

The best Euro entry ever.

Sam 13-05-2007 09:20 AM

Can anyone tell me why Serbia actually won? I didnt think it was all that good, i thought it was all very odd.

MarkWaldorf 13-05-2007 09:20 AM

Because the vocals were amazing.
If we had Cyndi we could have won.

Sam 13-05-2007 09:22 AM

Agreed, *cries* I loved Cyndi, she was amazing, her vocals were just fantastic, but would that have lowered our chances , not only being British but having a French singer? lol
