In regards to the gay issue she has no experience in that sector growing up under a strict rich upbringing and was taught to be a certain way....aka against gays being able to marry.

Ann has no experience of the real world outside her house, parliment full of testosterone and her cats.

It baffles me how someone with such little life experience could hold court for decades. I come from a small village in Wales and it's shocking how well balanced us sheep shaggers are over some private school educated woman who has no grip on the modern world.

..Ann is an interesting one for sure...I don’t feel her views on certain things are old fashioned as such, in it being an age thing...but more for her, her religious beliefs...I mean, she hasn’t shown any intolerance toward Shane J for instance for who he is and his sexuality...but when he was provoking her for a reaction as he was, she wasn’t comfortable with that...he wasn’t actually showing her respect because the whole thing was purposefully done to prod and he has been someone who has always so far shown great respect and understanding, rather than to actively seek a reaction...I find her interesting because of that blend of her time in parliament and the things she has opposed and been in favour of and how that fits in with her religious beliefs...I guess that many would think that politics and religion shouldn’t ‘mix’..that there is no place for religion and religious beliefs in politics...?...but then wouldn’t that be showing an intolerance and a discrimination against religious beliefs...so it all gets quite complicated...

...she wasn’t comfortable with Shane’s prodding and teasing but she’s been perfectly comfortable with him as a person so far as I can see...and even said, she would be proud of him as a grandson...there’s lots of things I guess that she hasn’t seemed comfortable with...like Ashley and Ginuwine and their more ‘public displays’...probaby another blend of her beliefs in terms of their single status and what she feels should be more private and the new that old..not before marriage thing...as I say she’s interesting because of her own life of very much being a working and independent lady...but then she’s a single as well and always has been...with marrieds and mothers etc... she tends to lean more toward supporting that ‘stay at home mum’...obviously this is all...(..her beliefs and views..)...going to cause a bit of controversy and confliction and those talking points, but I like her a lot as a person and in her character, regardless of anything else...


..one thing I’ve found quite interesting is how much empathy and understanding she’s shown with things like...her upset at the guys in physical pain with that task..and then with Daniel and her being in favour of keeping him over John because she felt his need for ‘validation’ with the public...that shows a real empathy...but then she’s right wing so how does that work because those are character traits that the left leaning are meant to be more associated with...:laugh:...she has a great blend to her character, I think...and is probably the most interesting housemate I’ve ever known...

..with sexual abuse within the Catholic religion...(sorry ive just read some of the thread...)...she’s not condoning that at all, I mean that just can’t be ‘excused’ by anyone for any reason or any belief system...she’s just separating the actions of some awful people..\..awful individuals who would abuse their power and position..from the religious beliefs of her faith and how she tries to practise it...

As Andrew is not gay, how can she be being homophobic to him? She has always been respectful to everyone in the house, but expects to be treated the same way in return. Andrew and Shane J were NOT respectful to her. Is anyone calling out Shane J and Andrew for their ageist behaviour? Is anyone calling out Shane J and Andrew for their persecution of Ann for her views and her religious beliefs? Nope, they are not.
