Shane doesn't strike me as a person who can be 'controlled' he comes across as a very independent minded gift of the gab grounded & flamboyant person

Andrew is bright though in some respects...because he's managed to grab lots of camera time at the expense of Shane's feelings.
Shane's not completely innocent here although I feel he has been played..I don't think he is that stupid..he must have seen this as a possible outcome.

He said he liked her...he said he would be a comforting arm around her shoulder but wouldn't take advantage...then he said "don't get me wrong I would Smash her"...in his laddish crude way.
